It's Complicated

Zoey's POV

It's a new year and I already have plans that are going to make it the best year of my life! Well that's what I keep telling myself. The squad has begun a new year at school as seniors. We all hung out a few times over the break and made sure we kept up with each others lives.

Jamison and I are still going strong but we haven't seen each other much lately. He has been busy with football and I have had so many things going on with school so we never caught up. Later tonight we are going on another date at his place. I'm kinda nervous yet excited because I really like him.

I drove to his house which is not too far from mine and got out of my Jeep Cherokee wearing a long purple sweater dress and brown leather boots. I actually took time to curl my hair and apply my makeup which is surprising.

I knocked on the door and he opened it up wearing a cute button up shirt with khakis. I walked in as nervous as can be.

Emma's POV

It's a New Year and I'm actually pretty excited. Cam is out of my life and I have not had any drama ever since. The girls have helped me through the breakup, but once in awhile I still miss him. Cat and I have hung out over the break a lot and we met up with Zoey and Magy a couple times too.

I might try to stay away from boys for awhile to be honest. I can't deal with their crap right now, I just want a nice, stable relationship. Although my relationship crumbled the rest of the squad has amazing boyfriends. I just wish I could say the same.

Cat's POV

Over break Ed and I have gotten really close. We've gone on 2 official dates yet we hang out almost every evening when we both don't have work. That's right; work. I now work at a local frozen yogurt joint called The Mango. It's actually really fun helping customers pick the most fitting cup of deliciousness for their liking.

I usually cover the cash register and earn $8.25 an hour. If I keep working here, by next year, I'll get a raise of $.25 and so on. It is kind of lonely though.  I mean, the people I work with are so annoying. Either they're too depressing, or too fakely happy. However, I talked Emma into applying and she was hired! When Em and I work together, the shop is lively and fun!

This year I want to change. I actually made a resolution; I'm going to mend my relationship with my family. These past few months have been brutal. My sister is bickering with me over the stupidest things. Not to mention my mom being upset with my Xbox + internet obsessions. She says that I need to spend more time with the family. So that is what I plan on doing.

Right now I am out with Ed. We have been shopping for Magy's birthday. In a couple weeks we're all going to meet up and celebrate with Magy.

Surprisingly, Ed is really good at picking out clothes with me. We have been looking for items that fit Magy's style. So far we've gotten some new jeans and vans for her, but we still need to find a cute shirt. We've been searching for hours, but I really want this gift to be perfect.
