Magy's POV

Emma is not okay. She has been looking so so weak. I am worried about her, why does bad things happen to good people?

The past 24 hours have been spent in a lot of tears and confusion. Emma goes into surgery soon.

This Caleb kid that rescued Emma is being interrogated consistently about what had happened that night that Emma was harmed. The police have decided that Caleb wasn't the one to stab her. Ever since Caleb was cleared he has been sitting by Emma's bedside at the hospital. He has been very supportive of the whole situation.

Also, my grades are descending before my eyes. I try and try to go to tutoring, but nothing is working. I feel like no matter how hard that I try, nothing will ever be the same. Things have just gotten too complicated.

Right now I am packing my navy duffle bag with my best clothes and shoes. I stuff my makeup and other essentials into a smaller bag then cram it into my original bag. Forcefully, I enforce the zipper shut and then rush out of my parent's massive house.

"Magy?" My mother's voice calls out. Shoot. I turn around to meet her kind eyes.

"Mom, hi." I whisper as my body starts trembling in nerve.

"Sweetie, are you okay? Where are you going?" I almost started to cry at how naive my mother is. Here I am with my bags packed at 9PM on a school night.

"Oh. The girls and I are hanging out then visiting Em together tomorrow." I talk in my most confident tone, which isn't very assuring. I hate lying to my own mother.

"Um okay. I guess it's okay that you go," Mom shakes her head at her own small and disappointed voice, "I mean, have fun! Darling, please tell me how Emma is when you can!"

I nod and melt into my mothers welcoming arms. I'm going to miss how supportive my mom is. She is really a good woman. On the other hand, I must relieve such a great person of my burdensome.

Slowly, I make my way out of the front door of my family's mansion. This is where I have grown up. Hopefully, it is maintained while I am gone.

I start down the sidewalk of my wealthy neighborhood. My combat boots scuff against the cement as I drag my feet unmotivated. I don't know what I am doing with my life anymore.

All I know is that today, I am running away.

A/N- Megan here! I just wrote up this chapter, but I come bearing bad news. Maggie whom usually writes Magy will no longer be writing this book. She is taking a break. However, we will be taking the responsibility of often updating Magy's story in chapters.

Overall, things won't change as a reader. We hope you are enjoying reading this book as much as we enjoy writing it! We love you guys! We'll tell you all when Maggie returns to the story. From now on it'll just be Grace (Zoey), Jackie (Emma) and I (Cat) writing.
