I was finally getting out of the mental health hospital. After my doctor found out it was an attempt of suicide, I was sent in a mental hospital for 2 weeks.

Cal was waiting right by the exit. She smiled big when she saw me and ran over to hug me.

"God I've missed you!" She said. I chuckled a little, "Same."

We hopped in the car and she drove me home. "I can stay if you want?" She asked pulling up in the driveway.

I shook my head, "I'll be fine. I'll call you later." I told her. She nodded and waved.

I got inside and waiting for yelling. Anything. But instead mom came out of the living room and smiled.

She walked towards me and hugged me. After many years she hugged me.

It lasted about 10 seconds. "Welcome home." She whispered in my ear.

I felt confused. She was being - nice. Did she have a stroke while I was gone?

She let go and cupped my face and smiled again. I felt awkward.

I looked around me, looking for evidence that aliens had taking over my house while I was away. But sadly none.

"I'm gonna go upstairs." I told her. She nodded, "Tell me if you need anything." She calls.

I looked over my shoulder strangly at her and continued walking up the stairs.

I got to my room and closed the door behind me.

"Hey." A voice says quietly. I jumped. "Drew..." I say almost in a whisper.

He smiled a weak smile. "I should have never walked out on you the way I did. I'm sorry Maya." He says standing up.

I bit my lower lip. "I would have done the same in your position." I tell him.

He twisted his lips to the side and got closer. "I guess, I'm just so scared of losing you." He says his fingers tangled in his hair.

"I know." I whispered. "I know."

He got closer and pulled me to him. My heart racing like it always has around him. "I love you." I say.

He rested his forehead on mine and closed his eyes. "I love you Maya." He whispers.

He gripped my thighs, "Don't ever do that again." He says.

I promised.

We laid beside each other in my bed. My legs wrapped with his. My head on his chest listening to the sound of his heart beating.

When I looked up at him. He's sleeping face. I knew that he was my one. My only one. And I knew, that after all this he still loved me.

He was my everything. My world. And I was afraid to make him my life but he was. He is.

Hearing someone's heart beat was great. But knowing it beats for you, now that is the greatest thing in this world.

I knew my heart beats for him. Everyday that I'm alive.

I was glad that those pills didn't kill me. And I was glad he came along when he did.

He was my falling angle.
