Chapter 6

~Two Years Later~

"We are all gathered here today to witness the marriage of Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen" well today is actually my wedding day, at the start of last year Peeta proposed I remember it like it was yesterday

~Flashback~

"Peeta" I giggle as we walk through the forest and he just has a smile on his face.

We reach a bench with food and a radio playing pretty music and fairy lights on the trees

'Woah! He did this for us!' Jessica said

"Oh Peeta" I said in awe

"I thought we could have a nice date night? Seeing as Gale is out of the way and his pack is gone" he says and I hug him

"I love it" I whisper in his ear

"Come, let's eat" he says taking me to the table we sit down and dig in

"This is amazing Peeta, I can't believe you did this for me" I say and Jessica growls at me

"For us" I say and he smiles chuckling and Jessica sighs in awe

"I made your favourite" he says and my eyes widen and I smile

"Cheese buns?!" I say excited and he smiles sliding a plate of two cheese buns, I take the one closest to me and take a big bite but spit it out, I look to see something shiny and I pick it up to see its a pretty diamond ring, I look up to see Peeta not there

"Peeta?" I say looking around

"Look behind you" I hear his voice, I turn around with the ring still in my hand to see Peeta right behind me on his knee which makes me gasp

"Katniss, we've known each other for two years now and I've been working on how to tell you this, for all my life since my parents and brothers died everyone thought of me as a emotionless alpha, I started to believe it myself until you almost hit me with your car" he says and I laugh with tears falling down my face "you opened up my heart and made me find the part of me that I lost, thank you so Katniss Mira Everdeen will you do the honours of marrying me" he says and I look at the ring, I can't believe it! He's proposing!

"Yes!" I cry smiling "a million times yes!" I say and he smiles and picks me up and spins me around and I laugh.

~End Of Flashback~

That was the happiest day of my life till today, my wedding day, it's kind of a small wedding, it's only our pack here, Prim is the flower girl but has a bouquet, Annie is my maid of honour/bridesmaid and Finnick is Peetas groomsmen/best-man.

"I do" Peeta says, wow it's been that far into the wedding?

"I do" I say after the pastor finished speaking and he smiles

"I now would like to pronounce you both husband and wife, Peeta, you may kiss your bride" he says and I look to Peeta and he lifts my veil and places a hand on my cheek and we both lean in and we kiss as people cheer.

"This has been an amazing day" I say as we sit at the fire at our pack house, after the ceremony all of us came back to the pack house and now all of us are sitting round the fire telling ancient stories and now we're doing speeches and Finnick is first

"Before Katniss ever came into Peetas life was hell, he wouldn't come out of the house unless he was chasing away the rouges, he's been like a little brother to me and to see him like that broke my heart, when he came home with Katniss, he, changed it was amazing and now, we're here witnessing the marriage of these two people, so in love, to Peeta and Katniss" Finnick says raising his wine glass and everyone says 'to Katniss and Peeta' and then Annie stands

"I've only known Katniss for about the same three years as Peeta, in those years I've seen how in love these two are and like Finnick said Peeta changed, a good change and I'm happy to see Peeta happy again, thank you Katniss" she says raising her wine glass and I smile and finally Prim says something

"When I was younger, my family passed away" she starts and Peeta looks down "the rouges spared my life but also put me through torture and all I kept thinking was that my big brother one day will save me, when I was with him every night he would tell me that he'll protect me and when he was upset I always said that he will find happiness and he did" she says and Peeta has tears in his eyes "and I'm proud to say that he's my big brother" she says and he stands up and hugs her and I smile.

"Bye!" Everyone says as we drive away after we've packed, Peeta takes my hand and links his hand with mine

"You ready Mrs Mellark?" He asks smiling and I smile at him

"Defiantly Mr Mellark" I reply and he drives off

I open my eyes and see I'm in an unfamiliar room, I sit up and look around, where am I?

I walk down wooden stairs and see Peeta cooking in the kitchen he turns and smiles

"Morning honey" he says and I smile walking the rest of the way down and I hug and kiss him

"Morning, where are we?" I ask tiredly and yawning at the end and he chuckles

"In a cabin, in the woods" he says swaying us side to side and I smile kissing him

"So after breakfast want to go for a run?" I ask and he smiles and kisses my cheek

We both get undressed behind separate trees and change and we both go for a run, we get in a lake and just muck around and just be like little kids.

"Peeta?" I ask as I walk in the bedroom after brushing my teeth and he just puts his PJ shorts

"Yeah?" He asks walking towards me

"Why have you never marked me?" I ask and he sighs

"You've always said that you've never wanted kids and when I first mark you, we'll become VERY attracted to each other" he says and I think this over, he's given me everything I wanted and now I should give something he wants, we could have a child we both could care for, he'll be with me through it and besides I might not get pregnant right?

"Mark me" I whisper and he looks at me wide eyed

"Really?" He asks and I nod and smile

"Okay, turn around" he says and I do and he presses our bodies together and it makes me have unsteady breaths, Peeta kisses where the bottom of my neck is and then I feel his fangs in my neck and I gasp and he takes his fangs out and I feel the blood trickle down my neck and I wipe it down and I turn to see Peeta suddenly I just want to rip his pants off and so I crash my lips on his and that's the night we both mated.
