Chapter 18

Gray's POV

I had tears in my eyes. I didn't know how much I've hurt Juvia. After all, She has been chasing me and I've been running away. She gave me everything yet I threw them away like trash.

When she sung her song a while ago she was looking at me straight in the eye, other mages even looked at me trying to figure out whats happening. Now the tears in my eyes really did flow out.

"Gray, what's wrong?" Erza asked. "I'm a jerk, Erza. How could I take Juvia back when She's with another man. How could I take her back when she has a Better life than when she was chasing me"

Erza took a deep breathe. "Win her back, don't take her back." She told me.

"All mages stop what you're f*cking doing and give me the king's crown. ASAP" My eyes widened in shock.

"Ice make Snow Dragon" Lyon surprisingly made a snow dragon that fast. It attempted to attack the masked mage but it failed.

"Tsk" The masked mage said. "Pathetic" Instantly he looked like he was choking an invisible person, Just to figure out purple orbs on Lyon's neck.

"Lyon!" "Lyon-sama!" Me and Juvia said together. Me and Juvia ran towards the mask mage as fast as we could. For some reason I did what my instinct told me.

I held Juvia's hand. "Ice Geyser" I chanted. "Water Nebula" I didn't expect Juvia to cooperate with my attack. It just feels the same as 2 years ago.

We managed to make the masked mage stumble. I took the chance. "Ice Devil's Zero Edge Sword" I sliced this guy, but I didn't literally slice him, I've never tried killing someone.

I was too amazed by the softness of Juvia's hand. It's like I want to hold it one more time. If her touch is a drug, how much more are her lips?

This guy was knocked out on the ground. "Lyon-sama" Juvia hurried to Lyon. "Thanks Juvia and Gray" He said with a smirk. "You should've been careful, Lyon" I said to him.

Juvia and Lyon were all lovey dovey, do you think I want to see that? I might've punched Lyon good thing Erza called me.

"The king wants to thank you, Gray" Erza told me. "He should also thank Juvia you know" I scratched the back of my head.

"Attention!" The king called. Everyone immediately stopped their chit chat and gave the King attention.

"To the mages who saved my crown, I thank you. You are Gray and Juvia, am I right?" The king asked.

I immediately bowed down to the king. "Yes, You are right my highness" I said. Juvia also bowed down.

"The three of us shall have a feast tonight as your reward." The king said. "We are unworthy of such gifts from your highness" Juvia said. "Oh! Don't be silly! Come here after the party and we'll have dinner" The king said. "If you insist your highness" Juvia said.

After Party

After the party at the palace I went back to the inn to redo my hair and my perfume. I won't just be eating with the king but also with Juvia.

I went back to the palace and saw Juvia wait outside the palace gates. "Why haven't you entered?" I said trying to make a normal conversation with her.

She was surprised to see me, I have seemed to scare her. "J-Juvia was to shy to get in" She said stuttering. I can sense her uncomfortableness while talking to me.

"C'mon Let's enter. The king must be waiting." She kept on looking down and silently followed me in.

"Oh! Juvia, Gray take a seat!" The king said the moment we entered. There was so much food, more than we can eat. What kind of food? Any food you could name.

We took a seat across each other. "We are so honored to eat together with the majesty." I said. "Oh. Don't be. Now eat."

Me and Juvia did so. She kept on staring blankly at her food while eating.

"YOUR MAJESTY!!" I flinched in surprise. "What is it? It better be important!" He said out of anger. "It is indeed important. The king of Rose wants to speak with you immediately. We have readied your carriages, your highness!" The servant said.

The long stood up. "I am sorry for leaving you but I have to go." He said and left. The moment he has left those doors Juvia immediately stood up.

"Where are you going?" I grabbed her arm. "Leaving" She answered. "C'mon I'll take you to your inn." I said. "No need, Juvia can manage it"

"Yeah but what if-" I got cut off. "Whats the point Gray?! You're only doing this for Juvia now? Why not two years ago? It's too late Gray. Juvia is done being desperate."

Her statement was like an arrow that pierced through my heart. Not one of those arrows that cupid shoots but one of those arrows that hurt.

"J-Juvia I'm sorry" I said. "There is no point of being sorry Gray. Why be sorry when what you felt was real. Juvia was foolish back then, Gray. Juvia's point was just that don't make it up to Juvia by doing all these now."

Immediately, I let go of her hand. I have no right to hold on to someone I've hurt that much.

She took the chance to leave. I was alone, knees on the ground and hands on the floor.

I spent a few minutes alone but I thought of Juvia. Somebody might hurt her! I instantly stood up and dashed to the dark, cold and lonely streets of Crocus.

I stopped running, hands on my knees, head down, panting hard I ran so fast and yet I can't find her.

"Water Slicer!" I instantly knew it was Juvia who chanted that. I ran towards that direction. I saw the masked guy awhile ago, trying to harm her.

I furiously ran towards the oponent. "Ice Devil's Zeroth Destruction Bow" I chanted. I made an intricate bow made out of ice and fired an arrow to the opponent at a high speed. As it made contact with my opponent it turned into a spiky array of ice.

The arrow pierced through his body. I took the chance to grab Juvia. "Are you alright?" I asked. "Juvia was going to handle it by herself." She took her hand away.

"I wanted to protect you, I've already lost you and now that I've found you again, I'm not loosing you." I said. She bit her lip as her eyes got watery. "GRAY DIDN'T LOOSE JUVIA, JUVIA JUST BROKE FREE FROM GRAY! AND RIGHT NOW SHE'S ENJOYING THE FREEDOM."

No matter what she'll say, no matter how much it will hurt, I'm not gonna just live my life without her. My life is her. She is my life and I'm about to be the man that she'll spend her life with

No matter what she'll say I won't give up on her

Juvia, I loved you and until now I still love you but why don't you love me back anymore? I miss you.....
