Chapter 23

Gray's POV

"Gray" Juvia called. "This town is located near Lamia Scale, Juvia decided to drop by.....Does Gray want to come?" Juvia asked.

"Your going to meet Lyon?" After all that effort she still likes him? What does Lyon have that I don't? If you see the one you love, loving another person how much would it hurt? But if getting hurt is how I could retrieve Juvia then so be it.

"Y-yeah, It has been a couple of days since Juvia met Lyon-sama" Just a couple of days and you missed him? You left me for two years but you managed to shrug it off?

"Okay, I'm coming" I said.

Juvia's POV

"Okay, I'm coming" He said coldly. He might think it was easy to leave him for two years but did he know what I've been through the past two years?

I cried myself every night, I self harmed myself like making cuts on my wrists, I tried to drown myself, I tried to skip meals and yeah, I had depression.

That was until I moved on and met Lyon. You couldn't blame me. I saw myself in him. I saw how he stalked me and went all clingy, and I made sure I wasn't making the same mistake Gray did. I accepted his love.

"Lets go"

I opened the guild doors, it was heavy yet I felt at ease. "Juvia, your back!" Jura greeted. "Juvia just payed a little visit, Jura-san"

"Oh, Where is Lyon?" I asked. "He hasn't showed up lately" Jura said. "Juvia understands, Juvia has to go"

I waved goodbye and went out. I saw Gray blankly staring at the ground while waiting for me outside. "How's Lyon?" He asked. "Not there, Juvia thinks Lyon is at home"

We walked towards the apartment me and Lyon shared. I unlocked the wooden door using the key I hid under the door mat.

"come in, Gray" I invited. He went inside. Lyon wasn't at the living room so we checked upstairs.

I opened his room and wow! What a surprise. Lyon was half naked, in bed with Meredy who was butt-naked.

My knees grew weaker and weaker and finally it gave up, making me fall on my knees. I gasped in horror.

"L-Lyon w-what i-s this?!" I shouted, grasping the floor. Meredy instantly covered her body using the bed sheets.

"You're misunderstanding, Juvia" Lyon defended. "Misunderstanding?! EXPLAIN THEN!" I screamed.

"Its just.." Lyon couldn't think of an excuse. "CAN'T THINK OF AN EXCUSE? Lyon I thought you were better than that!" I stood up and went to my room of the apartment while Gray silently followed.

Gray's POV

If you see the one you love, loving another person how much would it hurt? But if you see the person you love, getting hurt by the person she loves how much would this hurt?

I locked the door behind me as I followed Juvia in. "C'mon Gray! Open this!" I heard Lyon banging on the door.

Juvia's POV

I grabbed whatever my hands could hold. I threw the vase on the ground. My vision became blurrier and blurrier each time I blinked.

"Why Lyon-sama? Juvia loved you, Juvia f*cking loved you and thats all Lyon could give?" I dropped on the ground. Why am I so unlovable? If life was just all about getting hurt then there is no point in living.

I stood up. I swiftly unlocked the door and walked out. "Wait! Juvia!" Lyon said, trying to grab me.

I ran so fast. I wiped my tears away to clear my vision. My heart was tired, not of running but of living and loving.

I arrived at my destination. I was on the cliff where you could see the water below, waiting to swallow you.

I just couldn't take the pain anymore. This very pain I'm feeling is like a sharp knife piercing through my skin as my blood starts to flow out. This is the last heartbreak, my heart is now unfixable.

My decision is final, I'll be one with water. I took a deep breathe. "Good bye, sorrowful life" With my last goodbye, I jumped off the cliff.

The water greeted me painfully. This time my vision was blurry, unsure if it was water or my tears.

At least, I'm dying without doubts because what I'm doing is the probably the best choice I have decided on.

It was like darkness swallowing you, whole. I guess I died.

I felt the light telling my eyelids to open up. I'm in heaven? I really died? I opened my eyes and saw Gray and Erza beside me.

"She's Awake!" Gray rejoiced. "Gray..."My weak voice called his name out.  "Juvia, What do you need? I'm here for you" Gray said, placing my right hand on his cheeks.

"Porlyusica (IDK how to spell) said you should get some rest" Gray told me. "I was going to rest in peace baka!" I said.

"I managed to save you but you were unconscious" Gray told me. "And Lyon?" I asked. "He didn't have the guts to chase after you" That statement gave me a slight pain in my chest.

I guess my life really wasn't a fairy tale, I'm not the main lead who gets chased after the guy like on those romantic novels.

"How are you Juvia?" Erza asked. "Not fine" I answered back. "Why?" She asked. "I was supposed to die! But instead I'm back here... in hell. What did I do to deserve that? If life was this painful, why live?"

"Juvia, We don't live to be happy. Whatever happens to a person doesn't mean they deserve it, its because we know we can overcome it. All of us live life for a reason, I live to protect my family how about you?"

"Juvia also lives for her family!" I suddenly felt encouraged by Erza's words. "Then why did you kill yourself if you wanted to live for the ones you love?"

"Because, Juvia was stupid. Erza is right! How can Juvia protect her family when Juvua isn't even protecting herself!" Erza nodded.

"Thank you Erza!" I said. "I'll give you two some space." With that, Erza left.

Gray sat next to me, on the bed I laid. "Juvia, I live for the ones I love, What I mean was, I'm living for you" Wasn't that an indirect confession? And with that my heart was beating so fast..... "I though I learned my lesson, but why are you doing the same mistake again?" I whispered to myself.

Don't tell me I'm gonna make the same mistake twice. Lyon gave me enough already. Just the thought of him made me cry. "Juvia, don't cry. I'm here so you won't cry again.... so please " Gray said, wiping my tears away.

"Gray-sama, Don't leave me"

Gray's POV

"Gray-sama, Don't leave me" Juvia raised from her bed and hugged me tight. I hugged her back. "Juvia, I'm not letting go" I told her.

"Juvia won't either."
