Chapter 22

Juvia's POV

When I woke up I still had the guilty feeling from last night. I might act mean towards but I still care.

I can't let my guild mate have an aching back just because I let him sleep on the couch.

I smelled something good in the kitchen. I rose from my bed and went in the kitchen to see Gray preparing breakfast.

"Oh! You woke up early Juvia-sama" Gray said. "Juvia-sama doesn't fit me Gray. Just call me Juvia." I said, taking a seat.

"If you won't call me Gray-sama then I'll just have to call you
Juvia-sama then" He said.

"Anyway Juvia-sama, I cooked you scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast" Gray said, also taking a seat.

I took a bite of my bacon. "Mmmmm, Tastes good Gray." I complimented.

"I'm glad you liked it Juvia-sama."

We continued eating our breakfast which Gray made for us. There was nothing heard but silence. "Juvia-sama, What are your plans for today?" He said, breaking the silence.

"Well, Juvia had plans of going on a mission today" I informed. "Juvia-sama, allow me to accompany you on your mission. It won't matter if you don't split the reward, I'll be contented just by accompanying you" Gray told me.

"Okay Juvia will allow Gray but Juvia wants to give Gray his equal share of rewards" I told him. "If you say so"

When we finished eating we washed our plates. "Juvia-sama, I'll take a bath first." I just nodded, allowing him.

I had nothing to do while waiting for him to finish bathing. Suddenly I thought of Lyon. Wouldn't he get mad? I'm sleeping in one room with another man? Well, it's not like I'm cheating on him right? I'll tell him about this soon.

My thoughts were disrupted when the bathroom door opened. Gray got out, wearing nothing but a towel which was wrapping everything below his hips.

I noticed his finely toned abs. I think his abs had improved when I was gone. I could also notice his well toned biceps.

Enough of that, I got in the bathroom. I stripped my clothes off one by one. I immediately turned the shower knobs on, which allowed water to flow out of the shower head.

It feels so refreshing. I suddenly remembered fragments of the past.

I'm nervous. I have to kiss him today, as what Lyon said. "Can you go with Juvia outside, for one last time?" I told Gray. I indicated the 'one last time'. As if he's gonna kiss me back.

"Sure" He shrugged. As if nothing happened yesterday. Was it really nothing for him?

I took him to a place no one was. Behind a tree. He looked at me with a 'what?' look. I sighed. "Be wise, Gray-sama" I said with a sad voice.

"Why should I be wi-" Before he can finish I grabbed him by his collar and kissed him. His eyes were wide open. He was as stiff as a statue. He didn't kiss back.

I removed my lips from. him. "Juvia, Why did you kiss me!?" He asked. A smirk formed my lips. I still got hurt, even though I knew he wont kiss back.

I clapped my hands thrice. He looked too confused. "Lyon-sama! Let's go" I said in a happy tone as Lyon revealed himself from the bushes.

"Lyon?" Gray said in confusion. Lyon sighed. "You should've been wiser Gray" He said.

Once we knew that we were out of Gray's sight, I was back to being gloomy. Give up on Gray? It's not so easy.
