The Past and Passed

Brooke's POV

I'm meeting with the twins today. I need help. I feel a little uneasy about Scott and how he might act around Stiles. 

"Okay so I know that it's weird for me to ask you this. But I need you to keep an eye on Scott. Make sure he doesn't freak out on Stiles. Especially in the big game tomorrow night" I say to them

"What if I don't agree?" Ethan asks causing Grayson to punch him in the arm

"Shut up, we'll do it Brooke" Grayson says smiling at me

"No, I don't want anyone doing something they don't so if you don't want to watch over Scott, then don't Ethan. But let me say this. I'm asking you to do this because Scott has rage. He can try to hide it, but I still see. He could hurt anyone of us. We need to band together and protect each other" I say trying to convince him

"What about Scott though? Who's protecting him?" Ethan says. I get it, he's concerned about Scott. He wants to choose Scott.

"We all are by giving him space. Keeping away from him will help him" 

"So nothing to hurt him right?" Ethan says

"I'm not gonna lie and say I won't hurt him. I won't hurt him as long as nobody else gets hurt" I say to him feeling as though I've definitely lost my chance of him helping.

"Okay. I'll do it" He says giving in. 

*Next day*

Josh's POV

We're all meeting right now before the game because Brooke and I have to tell everyone something.

"So how'd you guys know all about the nogitsune stuff?" Isaac questions

I look to Brooke and she nods reassuring me that we're gonna tell them the story

"We knew one. There was one in pack. It took over her body. Making her a completely different person. She was not the smartest person, so the riddles easily caused her pain and stress. She felt stupid when she wasn't able to think of the answers. It fed off of that. It fed off of all the negative energy that had. Things went so bad for her" I look to Brooke for her to continue

"Everything just started going wrong. She started failing her classes. Then her family died in a car crash. That really set her off. The nogitsune completely took her body over. When he was done with what he wanted to do, he left her body. Leaving her dead. It killed her while it was inside of her." Brooke says looking down at the floor. I rub her shoulder trying to comfort her.

"That's not gonna happen to Stiles... is it?" Lydia ask with a concerned look on her face

"No, no it's not... because I'm gonna make the nogitsune leave Stiles' body and take over mine" Brooke says shocking everyone including me

"YOU CAN'T DO THAT ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?" I yell at her. She backs away from me.

Brooke's POV

He can't tell me what to do. I have to do this. 

"Josh. I can do it, I'll be okay. I can handle the riddles and whatever it throws at me" I say

"Wait, if it kills you will you still come back? You know because you have multiple lives" Grayson asks

I don't know. But I can't let anyone feel worried. So I lie

"Yes. I'll come back to life if it kills me, so we don't have to worry guys" I say causing them to smile. I just smile back at all of them. Grayson comes up to me hugging me 

"It's a good thing you're gonna survive that so I can keep doing this" he says right before he kisses me. I wrap my arms around his neck pulling him in closer. I feel guilty. I lied to everyone, what if I don't make it?
