A/N: Each chapter i will show what each person looks like.
This is Amanda :)

...

I decided that I did want to go see Luke. My parents are gone. I don't think the neighbors will actually say anything. I know I can't be certain about it but maybe they won't... Hopefully they won't.
Putting some cover up on my new bruise I grabbed my house keys and left.

Getting closer to the end of the street I started thinking that maybe they will tell. At least one of the neighbors will because they honestly don't care. Our other ones have tried helping me but there's no point. I'm going to get it worse than I ever have if they found out I went to hang out with the same exact boy they told me not to talk to.

I took a deep breath and slowed my pace, I can't do this. Turning the corner, going the opposite way of the batting cages I ran down the hill towards the beach. Once I got there I ran up this abandon trail that leads to this big open meadow over looking the water.

I stared down at the beautiful view, my mind began wandering as my eyes watered.
Why me? Why does it have to be me that's abused everyday? Not that I would wish this on anyone else, because I wouldn't. It's just I can't stand being scared of everything and everyone all the time. The one thing that I hate the most though? Is I'm scared to be happy. I know a lot of people are but I'm even scared to crack a smile. Why be happy when all I'm going to do is regret it later?

I sat at the edge of the cliff and sighed, taking some time to think. I stared at the water forever it seemed before I eventually decided to make my way back home.

. . .

Going upstairs grabbing sweatpants and a baggy shirt I went to take a shower. I just want this day to end. Tomorrow can start. I'll have a whole day of no parents. No bullies. Just me.

After a nice long hot shower I made my way back downstairs. Grabbing a drink I went into the living room and did something I'm usually not allowed too. I turned on the tv and sat on the couch. Honestly, I didn't care what I watched because I'm not allowed to watch tv anyway. If I tried when my parents were here I'd be in deep trouble.

Just as I started getting into some forensic show there was a knock on the door. Hesitantly I got up and slowly made my way to the door. I was honestly scared to open the door, was it the neighbors calling me out for going outside? Was it my parents home early banging on the door because their hands are full? I took a big deep breath and yanked the door open. Though, when I did I wasn't sure whether to be relieved or more scared.

"W-what are you doing here? How. How did you know where I lived?" Luke just stood there.

"Your neighbor told me which house you were. You didn't show up."

"I-I know. I couldn't. Luke you. You shouldn't be here."

"Why not?"

"My parents. They aren't here. They'd- they'd kill me if they knew a boy was here when they weren't," my voice shook. I mentally beat myself up for it.

"Where are they?"

"Uhm. O-on a cruise."

"And they just left you here?" I could hear the curiosity in his voice as he raised one of his eyebrows.

"Yeah, but you have to go. Please, you can't be here. They will find out."

"Amanda."

"W-what?"

"Calm down. You're shaking. Look I brought some food. Thought we could talk for a bit?" he held out a bag of taco bell, a grin spread across his face.
"I-"

"I doubt they'll find out. There wont be any proof anyway," he offered. I took a deep breath, nodded and let him in.

Breathe Amanda. Just breathe. Whats the possibility of anyone finding out Luke was here at 10pm?

Sitting down at the island in the kitchen Luke set the food on the counter. As he started walking over to me he seemed as if he was concentrated on something.

"What? Do I have something in my teeth?" I started covering my face.

"No its just. What happened to you?"

"Huh?"

"There was only a small bruise this morning," He gently grazed his thumb under my eye.

"Ow!" I squealed. Oh my god! The shower washed off the make-up. I shook my head and pushed away from his hand, "Oh. I uhm. I-I fell."

"Into what? A hammer?" He didn't seem to believe me.

"N-no. I tripped. Hit my face off the f-floor," I mumbled, staring at the floor.

"You're sure?"

"Yeah, of course. W-why?" I glanced back up at him, his eyes meeting mine.

"You just seem unsure I guess.." he trailed.

Trying to changed the subject I reached into the taco bell bag.
"So what did you bring?"

...
It's hard to believe Luke and I have been hanging out for four days already. It's Monday, which means it's going to be a lot harder to hang out.
It was only easy because I told him I'm not supposed to have boys over and not really allowed to talk to them, so Luke being the guy he is, he has been sneaking through the yard to the back door.

He's the first person to be nice to me in a long time. I guess that's kind of why I'm trusting him a little bit.
Getting to the corner of my street I heard a beep before seeing Luke pull up besides me.

"Hey," I seen him smiling at me, "Want a ride beautiful?" Smiling back at him I quickly got in.

"Thank you," We've been driving for just a couple of minutes when I decided to ask, "Are you sure you wanna do this? People don't usually like me. You'll get taunted for hanging out with me."

"I'm sure and you know what? They're insane for not giving you a chance," he looked at me and back at the road.

"Why did you? You didn't even know me.." I glanced down at my hands.

"I wanted to get to know you," I couldn't help but to smile as he parked and we got out of the jeep.

I know he will get hate for standing by me. I don't want him to hate me for it, but they'll probably make him.
Walking into the school, as if on que I heard Stacy.

"Ew. Luke, what are you doing with that?" Both of us turning towards her I was just waiting for Luke to walk over to her, but instead he grabbed my hand before smiling at me.

"I'm sorry I think you got her name wrong. Say it with me A-man-da," Still holding my hand he turned back around and started walking down the hall before looking back at Stacy again.

"Oh and I'm with her because I like her," He just sort of winked at me as I smiled feeling kind of embarrassed.

I took one last glance at Stacy seeing her face turn from shocked to angry so fast. Walking down the hall hand-in-hand with Luke I couldn't help but to actually feel happy for the first time in a so long.
