The silver tray balanced on in your arms as you brought the sandwiches and drinks into the living room. Apparently, you were the elected 'maid' of the house. You weren't complaining much. Questioning BEN was one thing; Jeff was another. The two pastas had gotten comfortable on the couch as you made the food for them and yourself. Multiple questions circled around in your mind after Jeff's announcement. Obviously you knew who Slenderman was. You had been obsessed with him for a short time of course. What you were more curious about though, was why it was a problem that BEN was there. You didn't mind, even though he was eating all your bread and trying to kill you at the same time.Gently you set the tray down on the table, carefully grabbing your plate and glass and sitting down on the love seat perpendicular to the couch. BEN grinned and grabbed one plate, happily biting in despite the circumstances. Jeff followed suit, neither of them sparing you a glance. You frowned. "A thank you would be nice." You said, glaring slightly at the two boys. Killers could be such teenagers at times. BEN smiled through his sandwich, "Yeah, thanks (y/n). I expect three more in two minutes." He said. You shook your head with a slight grin and leaned back into the couch.
A few minutes of silence followed as the eating was finished. You leaned forward on the couch, eager for the explanation. "So why is Slenderman angry with BEN?" You asked. Jeff sighed, "So impatient." He grumbled before beginning. "See as creepypastas, we typically don't stay long with one victim. Some of us will stalk a victim, but it's just not normal for ones like BEN and I. Most of the victims die on the first try. BEN was supposed to return his happy a-"
"Without the curses please." You interrupted. Jeff rolled his eyes and looked at you, "Fine, whatever floats your boat princess." He said. BEN smirked and gave you a thumbs up. You shook your head with a grin and waited for Jeff to continue. "Anyway, BEN was supposed to arrive home after you were dead and didn't. Slendy got mad, told us to find where you lived which wasn't hard. You leave traces everywhere. I heard from BEN, so I figured I'd ask for your location. Honestly didn't think he'd lead me right to you." He then turned to BEN and sighed, "You better kill her quick, dude, or Slender's going to do it himself." He said it so calmly as it things like this happened every day. For all you knew, they might.
There was a minute of silence as you processed the information. One of the biggest creepypastas was going to try to kill you if the one in front of you doesn't. Either way you were going to die, by BEN or Slenderman. "So... I'm dead..." You said, your voice cracking unintentionally. You couldn't help but be depressed by this information. Putting thought into your death wasn't on the top of your priority list, especially only as a teenager just starting to understand life alone. Staring at the empty glass on the table, you shook your head in denial. What am I going to do? you thought hopelessly.
~BEN's POV~
This was news. I never realized the consequences of staying with a victim. It wasn't permanent at any means, but I didn't think two days was bad. So she hadn't died right away. Big deal. There was just something different about (y/n), something I had to figure out before I ended her. And now, Slenderman was trying to finish my experiment before I was done with it yet. I honestly wasn't shocked. He was an all business man at everything, not only killing.
"So... I'm dead..." (Y/n) said, breaking the heavy silence. I glanced over at her as I heard her voice crack. She seemed shocked, though what normal person wouldn't. She was human after all. I let the silence fill the room, Jeff being done speaking and insensitive letting it settle in again. (Y/n) seemed lost in thought, a depressed, sad thought. Tears peeked at the corner of her (e/c) eyes, splashing down her (s/c) cheeks. She made no move to wipe them away, remaining in a silent staring contest with the glass.
I don't know why but I hate seeing her this way. Sure she's just a victim, a pointless experiment meant to die, but the way she seemed now was almost painful for me too. I got up and sat next to her on the couch, grabbing her chin and physically turning her to face me. I wiped away the tears with my thumbs, much to her surprise. (Y/n) stared at me, eyes wide as I smirked. "He's not going to kill you. I'm not done with you yet remember? So don't start getting upset." Ok so it was still a life threatening thing to say, but it seemed to cheer her up a little. (Y/n) blinked and smiled slightly, "Like that makes me feel better." She joked and wiped up her tears.
I could tell it worked and stood up. "Jeff, is there anyway Slenderman will change his mind?" I asked. "She's my victim after all." The edges of Jeff's smile twitched in his attempt at a frown, "I don't think so. Maybe you should talk to him." He suggested. I glanced over at (y/n). "She's not safe here without me though. Slender could always send a proxy to finish MY job."
Jeff shrugged, "Not my problem, though I doubt there would be anything wrong with bringing her along to the mansion. The little brat Sally would be happy to have someone to play with." He grumbled, shaking his head at the mention of the girl's name. I hesitated, and for good reason. Bringing her to the place full of the people that wanted her dead was asking to get her off my hands. Though maybe it would be a good way to show that I have the situation under control, that (y/n) is merely a pet of mine for the time being. It all depends on the circumstances.
Looking back at (y/n) I kneeled down in front of her, looking into her confused face. "Wanna meet the others?"
