"Damn you Jack." BEN growled and rolled his eyes. "I was kinda in the middle of something." He rose to his feet from his seat on the bed next to you. You let a small sigh escape your lips and stood up, joining him on his way to the door. "Is there any way to avoid this?" You asked hopefully, not prepared to officially meet the head of the house and the person looking forward to your immanent destruction. BEN shook his head, clearly expecting the question. "Of course not. It'd be worse if we didn't go." He said slowly, prolonging the time before he opened the door.A small amount of fear swelled up in your chest, constricting your throat. You could feel tears prick at the corners of your eyes, but you swore that you wouldn't cry. You never hear of the brave heroines that cry in the face of death, even if they had potentially found the one man they wanted to love, be him killer or not. You had aspired to be strong when you had first met the killer you walked with, though even you couldn't have predicted the means of which would be your demise.
"(Y/n), you can stay outside if you want." BEN said as you both walked up the next set of stairs, the boards creaking in protest to the weight being put on them. You shook your head, watching your feet pound up the steps to ensure you'd at least make it to the top without an accident. "No. I want to know what will happen to me and to hear it for my own ears." You said, proud of how you kept the fear from creeping into your tone. Reluctantly, BEN nodded, avoiding looking at your face so as not to show the large amounts of worry and anticipation he felt for you as well.
With a sudden change of direction, BEN grabbed your hand tightly and led you down a darkened hallway. The windows on either side of the walls were blacked out with what you assumed and hoped was large amounts of black paint. The wooden structure of the black hall gave off the appearance and scent of being burned repeatedly, only to be put out when the wood had charred sufficiently dark. Along with the long length of the hallway, there was only a single door at the end, leaving no rooms on the side. It was probably the most terrifying thing in the entire mansion full of psychopathic killers.
You gripped onto BEN's hand, a moment of nausea washing over you. "I think I might be sick..." You muttered, putting your free hand to your mouth. "I thought you said you wanted to come." BEN said firmly, placing a hand on your forehead that was beaded with sweat. You nodded with a moments hesitation, swatting away his hand lightly. "You're right. I can do this." You said. Steeling your nerves, you strode forward at a somewhat confident speed until you stood outside the office next to BEN.
I can do this, you reminded yourself as BEN opened the door hesitantly.
[Ben's POV]I pushed the door open lightly and was momentarily blinded by the light in Slenderman's office. This guy never had lights on, so this was a huge shock. (Y/n)'s hand gripped mine tighter and I could feel the tension spreading through her body. Had I known she would be this nervous, I would have forced her to stay in my room, with or without Slenderman's request for us both.
"What's up Slendy?" I said, adding a shade of casualty to my tone to put the terrifying images to rest in my head. This was not the first time I saw us in this situation. I just kinda always imagined Slenderman in his pink apron he wore on birthdays and slapped a sparkling pink top hat on him. That changed the atmosphere of the situation greatly, though I didn't expect anything as horrible as light coming from his room. That's just bizarre.
"Address me as Slenderman BEN. We've been over this before." Slenderman telepathically said. I knew (Y/n) heard it too by the way she shifted behind me slightly. She hasn't even seen the guy yet! "Now for the real matter at hand. The girl named (Y/n)." Slenderman said, spinning his black office chair around like a cliche villain in a cheesy hero movie. Talk about bad plot points.
I stepped up a foot, dropping (Y/n)'s hand and took a deep breath. "Before you consider any methods of torture and death, I need to explain that you shouldn't kill (Y/n). She's awesome and useful and it would be a horrible waste of time to try killing her. You need to reconsider this meeting and why is there light here?" I spewed the words from my mouth in a rush. I would be seriously amazed if he even understood one word of what I just said. I could bare decipher it myself.
Slenderman sighed, obviously still telepathically and let me just say, it is weird to hear someone sigh inside your brain. "I understand what you're saying BEN. I have decided to let (Y/n) live."
"You can't-! Wait, what!?" I stopped, taken aback with surprise. I either heard that wrong or am somehow as high as hell's temperature in summer.
"I am going to let (Y/n) live, BEN."
