1.) Describe yourself as a writer.
I write not to impress. I simply write because I wanted to. I may have been a major procrastinator but that's because it's effin' troublesome to type, lol, but kidding aside, I'm the kind of writer that doesn't only dwell solely on my imagination. Don't get me wrong. Like you, I also have that "small bubble" of a world where things like dragons and fairies exist, but... I also see "reality". The harshness of it and the logic inside it. So if you're going to sell me bullcrap, better be prepared to defend it from scrutiny.
2.) Using the sense of taste, give a piece of advice to our top 8 contestants.
Sweet triumphs can turn into bitter failures. Bitter failures can sour your essence of being a writer. The path of a writer was never always sweet, as is the path of an aspiring gourmet chef, but remember that in gourmet cuisine, elaborate preparations and presentations of aesthetically balanced meals of several CONTRASTING flavors are done to produce quite rich courses.
The term "gourmet" and its associated practices are usually used POSITIVELY to describe people of REFINED TASTE and PASSION. So just like in cooking, whatever the taste of your experience is, SAVOR IT. EXPLOIT IT. Use it to produce rich stories. Use it as a shield as you use your words as a weapon. A weapon that reflects your PASSION.
