Christmas ball

'Harry, stop it you look great,' Hermione said as Harry tried to flatten his hair.
'Besides. You should put your mask on,' she added.

'Draco still isn't here!' Harry said impatiently.
'He'll come soon. Me and Ron'll wait inside okay?' She said. Harry nodded.

After about two minutes he saw Draco. He looked hot. Wait what?

'Hey, Harry' Draco said.
'Hi,' Harry said. 'You look good'
Draco blushed slightly but Harry pretended not to have noticed it.

'No, I don't. I look ridiculous with this mask on. Why do we have to wear them anyway?' He said annoyed.

'I know,' Harry said. 'It looks hideous! Shall we go in?'
Draco nodded.

They entered the great hall. It was full of people. There was nice music, a lot of food and drinks and it was decorated magnifisantly.

'Mr Malfoy. Could I have this dance?' Harry said in a fake voice.
'Oh, Mr Potter. I'd be delighted' Draco said in a high pitched voice.
They laughed and joked around all night.

In the end they went outside where they could finally take the masks off.
'I had a really good time,' Draco said when they sat down at the lake.

'Really?'
'Really! You know, I never thought I'd say this but... I really like you, Harry. You're a good friend.'
Harry smiled.

'So are you' They looked at each other.
Harry blushed and looked away quickly. When he looked back Draco was staring at the lake.

He sighed.
'They should do this every year...'
'I know. Just maybe without the masks' Harry joked.
Draco grinned. 'Maybe.'

They sat next to each other, quietly, for a long time. They only got up when the sky started to light up again.

'I best be off. I still want to get some sleep,' Draco said and yawned. Harry nodded and they walked back to the common room together.
'Bye Harry, sleep well' Draco said quietly.

'Bye' Harry replied and walked back to Gryffindor Common room.
He sat on one of the big comfy chairs near the fire.
Then he thought that this couldn't go on.

He liked Draco. A lot. But he was scared to tell him. Then he decided that he would tell him in their next lesson together.

First day of school

'Harry,' Ron called. 'Wake up, we've got potions in ten minutes.'
'WHAT? Why didn't you tell me earlier!?' Harry screamed and pulled his clothes over his head.

Ron chuckled.
'Just kidding, mate. You've still got time. I just couldn't get you up'
Harry sighed.
'Go stick your head in the toilet, Ron. I wanted more sleep'

'Get over it. I would have had to dump water on you, if you wouldn't of got up'
Harry groaned.
'Anyway. We've got Quidditch practice today. Oh wait, you've got potions with Malfoy today, haven't you?'

'Yeah. But we agreed that when we've got Quidditch we do it two hours later'
Ron nodded.
'C'mon, Hermione is waiting for us'

They went down to the great hall. Harry got all happy when he thought of his lesson with Draco later on.

He didn't have any lessons with him today. And he still wanted to tell him that he liked him. But not friend like. LIKE, like.
