Ben's POV
The next weeks went by in a blur. School during the day, go and visit Bella till the evening, and go home with Mal at night. It wasn't until the month Mal was due to have the twins that I came out of my slump. I started talking again, acknowledging people, showing affection. I had to. I was coming up on my 17th birthday so I had to be mature about this. Mal and I were going to Jay's birthday party tonight which also counted as a final date before she has the babies because everyone knows we're both not going to get much time to ourselves.
"Ugh!" I groaned trying to tie my tie.
"You need help?" Mal asked leaning against the door frame.
"Ye-" I felt my breath hitch as I turned around. I was shocked to see Mal wearing a color other than purple. She was wearing a lowcut skintight dark blue dress that highlighted her curves perfectly. "Wow...you look...wow." I said at a loss for words.
She laughed bashfully and replied, "You look pretty wow yourself. Except." She said walking over and snaking her arms around my neck.
"Over...under...across and...done." She muttered tying my tie for me.
"Thanks." I laughed. She could tell I was missing Bella because she said, "Ben she's gonna be okay."
"I know. I just miss her. But you shouldn't be worried about that because you're due in just a few days."
"Yep...shall we go?" She asked grabbing my arm.
"We shall."
I was kind of looking forward to the party. It'll be fun to see Jay turn 18. He's always been one of my best friends.
When we got to the party which happened to be in Evie and Jay's backyard everyone from Auradon Prep was there. Jay and Evie were dancing, Carlos and Jane were talking by the food, and Chad and Audrey were making out...as always.
When Evie saw us she squealed.
"Oh my gosh! Hi! It took you long enough. Now I can make my big announcement. Pick a seat." She said running over to the middle of the kitchen.
"Attention everyone. I want to say a very happy birthday to my love Jay. You're 18! Anyways I want you to come up here before I say this because it involves both of us." Jay walked over to the island where Evie stood. She continued.
"So I wanted to tell all of you at the same time that's why I didn't even tell Jay yet that I'm......pregnant!!!" Jay done a spit take all over me. I wiped the water off my face. I didn't notice until now that Mal looked very uncomfortable.
"Mal are you okay babe?" I touched her stomach.
"Um...I think it's time."
"Time for what?"
"I think I'm going into labor." Oh no it's happening I'm not ready but I have to be in a matter of hours I'm gonna be a dad and I can't wait.
