The doors suddenly burst open and everyone's eyes turned towards the door. Haley, the missing girls in our advisory walked in, her eye blackened and lip busted.
"Holy shit wha-"
"Don't ask!" She yelled. Everyone in my group, Thomas, Richard, Jason, Marlon, Hayden, Adonis, Me and now Danica watched as she walked over to the other side of the room and sat with her back turned to us.
Danica nudged me, her eyes locked on to the door. A group of girls walked away, smiles on their faces as they looked at Haley.
"Hey guys, I'll be back. Don't do anything, uhhh, Richard would do." They all looked at me with puzzled looks.
"Why it gotta be Richard? Why can't it be me?" Said Hayden, winking at me.
"Because I think your a smooth talker. And I don't need anyone trying to traumatize the new girl. I'll be back."
"I'm coming with you." Danica side stepped me.
"Why?" She walked closer, her hair bouncing. "If your in trouble, your gonna need someone to help you."
I nodded, walking over to Haley.
"Hey you okay. Need anything?"
"Yeah, for you two to leave me the fuck alone." She grumbled. Her red hair fell in front her eyes, covering the bruised eye. I bent down, leaning forward to see it closely. "Don't touch me."
"I'm here to fucking help. Don't throw an attitude to me, cause I'll return it right back. Now, hold still, I just wanna see it." I brushed her hair away. She looked at me, the eye literally swelling. I looked at her, my face scrunched in disgust. I felt like hugging her, but was too scared she might punch me. I backed off, rolling the sleeves of my sweater up and pulling my hair into a ponytail.
"Ready?" Danica asked, She already had her hair up and her baggy sweater on the couch near Richard, only in her leggins and graphic cross vest.
"Wait." Haley said. She stood up, looking at the both of us. "What are two doing?"
I smirked. "We're just going to talk to them. That's all."
"But I hardly know you," She said, pointing at me, " And I just met you. I don't need two weak girls getting beat up for me." She sat back down, icing her eye with the water bottle she had in the side pocket of her bag. Thomas and the other walked over to us, looking down at Haley.
"Hale, trust. This one here," Adonis said, pulling me into a headlock, "Is tough. She put up with Leigh and her army of Barbie Bitches."
"Let me go, Adonis!" I pulled away from him and punched him in the arm. They all laughed as he rubbed the spot, sticking his tongue out at me. I rolled my eyes, looking back over to Haley, who looked at me.
"So I guess your the chick everyones so happy to have here." She sighed, looking away from me, out the window at the rain that fell in loads.
"Wait. Happy?" I asked. Why is everyone happy that I'm here? Wasn't it just a month ago that everyone side glanced me?
"Yeah. They know that now your here, Leigh has someone that can reach 'Higher Up' than her on the 'Popularity Scale', or some shit like that. So, your Kristen Lee. Your much skinner and taller than I thought you were." She said, glancing at me, then smiling.
"Uhh, thanks. I guess. Well, I don't feel like we shold have a talk. Let's go do something. Sitting in here is depressing." I groaned, dropping next to Haley on the couch.
"What the hell can we do when it's raining? Let's see, oh yeah, it's raining! Nothing!" Marlon said. He ran a hand through his chestnut hair and close his eyes. I threw a pillow at him, then turned back to everyone.
