LYLE'S POV
I walked into the Saint Bernard Hotel. Our Advisory weekend activity was bonding at Universal Studios in Orlando. The drive was horrendous, with traffic and all the loud music that was playing in the car I was in. I basically had a headache.
"Hey, come on! Stop being the negative aura here. Your gonna make the experience terrible for everyone." Kevynn, the short Rugby player nudged me. I quickly returned the motion, exhaustion smacking me in the face. A good nap would do, but everyone's so loud and peppy.
So irritating.
And sad thing is, I'm never this grumpy or even grouchy. I'm really tired. Coach had the football players come in for a six to eight fifteen work out and play practice. So with all this, this, giddy shit, I just really need rest.
The horn blared as someone swerved around us, the driver not caring what or who was in his way. Then, a loud siren came from behind us. An ambulance van along with two police cars rounded us.
"What the? Whats with all the protection?" Richard said. He pulled over on the side of the road so the on coming amounts of police, fire trucks and ambulances could drive by. Something must be on fire. Nothing can get the OPD and rescue services to get this crazy.
By time we got to the hotel, it was eight. I didn't take no time to get the key card and get to the room. As soon as I made it on the bed, I fell asleep.
I had this weird dream, where I was standing at the edge of a cliff. Behind me, my dad was there. He was looking at me with this shotgun in his hand. To the left and right of me was the twins and Lillia. He said, "Find out whats up." I looked up, but the sky was clear, the sunset fading and the night sky rolling in. He came behind each of us and whispered something to each of us, and let us walk away. But before I was able to hear what he needed to tell me, I was shaken awake.
I looked up at Parker, my eyesight blurred."What!?"
"Get up. We're going to the hospital." She grabbed my bag and emptied it out, then quickly stuffed half my clothes in a duffel bag.
"Why are we going to the hospital?" I asked as I slowly got up. I felt more alert, but my body was still waking up.
"I, um, I'll tell you when we get there. Now, let's go." She said. The intensity in her voice made the hair on the back on my neck stand. Other than the insane ride on the highway, Parker kept quiet. At some point, a tear fell down her cheek. Whatever happened, it must have been terrible, because she started to cry.
"Parker. What the hell happened?"
"I... Just wait till we get there. Please." She didn't say anything after that. I just sat there, unable to speak. She honestly could say a word. And she's one of the toughest girls at the school.
We got to the hospital around nine fifty. Parker climbed out the cab and sprinted through the doors. I paid the cabbie and ran inside, where Parker and the lady at the front desk were in a heated argument.
"I'm sorry ma'm, but family only! She not permitted to see friends or anyone else. I'm really don't care who you are. You already told me your her friend, so goodbye." The lady said disrespectfully.
Parker slammed her hands down on the desk, making the lady jump. "Look, I don't care if I have to climb the windows to see her. I'm fucking going up. And you can't stop me. And also," She grabbed my hand and dragged me down the hall. "He's coming up too. Don't try to stop me." The desk lady just gave up and let us go up.
"Parker. Tell me what the hell is going on, now." I finally breathed.
"It's, I.... I can't. Let Marlon tell you"
