I never thought I'd live to see you break
Your cold and lifeless eyes of hate
Stare into my soul
And tear me apart from the center
Of my heart
Your sharp and lethal words
Are spoken with venom
As hell is awoken
With a hand of rage
And a spiteful gaze
I shrink away
And take the pain
I never thought it'd be this way
I always thought you'd be okay
But I've lost the one
I used to call mom
And you've died inside
The old you is long since dead
The animal beneath
Has risen
And speaks the lies
And fills you with fear
And you do everything
Without a single tear
A thirst for control
Has grown within you
It has taken it's toll
And you've let go
You've lost all control
YOU ARE READING
Broken
