They all swear
You're great
They swear
You'll care
That you're empathetic
And that
You're compassionate
But I stopped believing
In compassion
A long time ago
I stopped believing
That someone could care
About a worthless nothing
Like me
I stopped believing
That anyone
Would ever
Tell me
I'm not a mistake
And they tell me
That you will
But I don't believe them
I can't ask you
And you won't tell me
So what's the point
Why do they tell me
These stupid lies
Are they hoping
That one day
I'll find them true
Or will they be the reason
I die
Believing a lie
