Every time he says
That he's fine
Everyone believes him
They all think he's finally won
But nobody sees
That his cuts have gotten deeper
That his scars have grown harder to hide
That his smiles have been more painful to force
That his laughs have become strained and choked
That his eyes have glazed over
That his skin is pulling tighter around his bones
That his face has sunken in
That he never gets sleep
That he cries nearly every night
That he has a rope and blade
Both meant for suicide
But of course nobody sees these things
Because guess what
He's a guy
And for some reason our world
Has forgotten that
Guys can be broken too

I don't really think that I write enough about guys who hurt so I decided to because I have a friend who used to self harm and starve themselves. Well guess what; they are a guy. So I do not take it lightly when someone says that guys don't hurt too.
I hope that this maybe helps some of you feel better and less alone or opens your eyes to the people around you. Maybe even both. I love you all so, so much. You all are in my prayers. Stay strong my amazing readers💜
