I knew this day would come
Oh how I dreaded it's arrival
Today is the day
I lost you
My best friend
You looked at me
As I sat alone
I smiled
But you only shook your head
And walked away
You didn't give me
A second glance
You never gave me
A second chance
I believed the lies
For quite some time
I told you everything
You told me nothing
I never pried
I should've tried
But I didn't want
To annoy you
You were never there
You didn't care
But I was blinded
By your words
"Best friends forever."
You promised
A few years later
And I don't exist anymore
You have new friends
Ones that are more important
Than a worthless nothing like me
I'm sorry I believed you
I'm sorry that I tried
I should never have told you
About all the times I had cried
Because in the end
You didn't stay by my side
So now I'm sitting alone
Now I'm on my own
Oh how I miss you
My only best friend
