----------------------------------------------

I wake up to the sound of Dime shaking his cage. It's time again to go back to Hogwarts after a long summer. I throw my sheets off my and head to the bathroom. I open my door to see Logan walking downstairs already dressed.

"Good morning," he says to me

"Morning," I say back, my voice raspy.  " what time is it?" I ask

"It's 8:16am," Logan says checking his watch. " you should get ready, we have to leave by 8:30 to get to Kings Cross," he says turning around and heading down the stairs. I walk into the bathroom and wash my face. I brush my teeth and head back to my room. I get changed into a pair of jeans and a white T-shirt. I brush my hair and put of some mascara and eyeliner. I look around one more time to make sure I had everything I needed. I grabbed my bags and wand and went down the stairs. Logan had already taken his things down and helped me with mine when I got to the bottom of the stairs. I handed my bags to Logan then went back up to get Dime. I carried his cage very carefully and walked down the stairs slowly with him. I always treated Dime like he was a delicate price of glass that could shatter at any time. Logan took him from me at the bottom of the stairs and I thanked him.

"You should go eat Elena, we're going to leave soon," he said carrying Dime to the car.

I walked to the kitchen where my mother had made breakfast. We had eggs, bacon, and toast. I always appreciated the little meals mom made. They weren't as big and amazing as the Hogwarts meals but they were still nice. I finish breakfast and help mom put away the dishes. We put away the last dish the head for the car. I put in some black boots and slide my wand in my boot as I always have. We drive to Kings Cross in record time and unload the car. I've mastered passing through the wall now that I've done it so many times. I run as it with no hesitation and come out on platform 9 3/4. Logan and Mike take the trolley and I keep a small bag for my robes and extra random stuff. We all say bye to mom and hug her before getting on the train. I search the train for my friends and find them in a far cabin. I have three of my best friends in Slytherin with me, Maddy Louvitt, Beth Haron and Claire Diamond. Maddy has blonde hair like me but she's shorter than me. She likes to read and write and stay quiet for the most part. Beth has long brown hair and beautiful light brown eyes. She's more energetic and loud. Claire is the craziest one of us all. She has long bleach blonde hair and blue eyes. She's full of energy until midnight and is the gossip queen of Slytherin.

As soon as I walk into the cabin they all stand up and scream. I get attacked with hugs and lots of questions.

How are you?
How was your summer?
Did you hear about Damon and Lauren?
Did you get my letters?
How's your family?
Do you have a boyfriend?
What's his name?

I tried to answer them all as quickly as I could but I don't think I got them all. As things started to calm down and we sat down I got back in the loop with everyone.

I looked out the window to see if I could spot my mom and I did. She was hard to miss in that bright pink scarf. I remember when I have that to her. It was a Mother's Day gift I have her with Mike. We told her it was warm like her heart and she cried.

I wave at her and she waves back. She doesn't cry anymore because she knows we'll be back soon and she'll have her precious babies back. As the train starts to move I realize I should go to the bathroom before I get into a deep conversation with Claire about our friend Damon and some girl he's apparently seeing. I tell the girls I'll be right back and leave the cabin. I start to walk down the train. I notice a napkin on the ground and hope to dodge it. In doing so I walked right into someone and they spilled their drink on me.

I let out a scream of shock that I just hit someone but then also they spilled their unknown liquid all over me.

I looked up to catch a shocked Draco Malfoy standing in front of me. I didn't know Draco that well. I knew that he was in my house and that all the girls at Hogwarts thought he was a God sent from the heavens. I never followed Draco around like a lost puppy but he was really attractive. He had platinum blonde hair and sort of cloudy blue eyes. He always looked extremely well put together and as much as I didn't like him. He was really cute. Unfortunately, I also knew that be thought he was a complete bad ass that ruled the school. Also that he hates Gryffindor. I didn't know why, but I knew he didn't like Harry very much. Being Harry's friend ( thanks to Hermione) I always took his side whenever Draco would make rude comments about him.

He looked as shocked as I did but not because he had spilled his drink, because he spilled it on me.

"Elena are you okay?" He asked crouching down a little. Draco was many things but he was not short. I was tall for my age but he was taller. I was 5'7 but he was at least 6'0. I was surprised he knew my name. I only ever talk to him in Defence Against The Dark Arts (or DADA) and it's only because he's asking for a pencil or needs help on a question.

"Ya, I'm okay," I said not knowing what else to say. I wanted to yell at him as to say, no I'm not okay, I'm wet! But my nice part of me wouldn't let it happen.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see you," he said picking up his now empty cup.

"Please tell me this is water," I say looking at my white wet shirt.

"It is," he said grabbing a napkin and handing it to me. This was a new part of Draco, that I'd never seen before. At school, he's always so rude to teachers and students. He acts like he's above everyone else but right now he was just being nice and I believed it was genuine.

"Thank you," I say dabbing my shirt with the napkin.

"Do you want to come in and dry off?" He says gesturing towards the empty cabin that I assume he has taken for himself.

"Sure," I say as I enter the cabin and sit down.

Then reality set in It was just Draco and I and it was only going to be Draco and I until we get to Hogwarts. Oh god. Why did I say yes? I should have gone back to my cabin when I had the chance. Worse my top was basically see through and Draco noticed.

"Do you have a sweater or something you can wear? He asks obviously feeling bad, which he should.

"No, unfortunately," I say looking down at my shirt to see how bad it is. "My friends might have one," I say trying to find a reason to leave. I don't know why I wanted to leave, Draco was being nice, but I knew it wouldn't last. I've seen the way he treats people, my friends. He calls Hermione a "mud-blood" any chance he gets and he's constantly picking on Harry. Just because Draco was being nice now, doesn't mean he'll be nice later.

"Okay, you should go ask," he says realizing that I'm trying to escape. I feel bad that he knows I want to leave. I don't get the feeling that he has many friends and his family isn't one that's known for being nice. I'm pretty sure Draco's father has been accused of being a Death Eater many times.

I get up and give Draco a small wave before heading back down to my cabin where everyone is waiting for me to return.
