I zip up my last bag, and lift it off my bed. I grab a letter off my table, and walk over at Dime and unlatch his cage. He steps out, and opens his beak to take my letter. I open the window for him and he opens his wings.
"Stay with mom Dime," I say as he flies out the window.
I close my window and hear a knock at my door. I grab my bags and walk to the door. I open the door to see Maddy and Beth waiting for me.
"Come on Elena," Maddy says grabbing my arm and pulling me out the door.
"Okay, I'm coming," I say closing my door behind me. I bump the wall with my bags as I turn back around and Beth laughs at me.
"Let's go, your brothers are waiting for you," Beth says.
I look up to see Dracos door to his room. I take a deep breath and turn to walk down the corridor. We walk into the common room where Alex and Olly are waiting for us on the couch with their luggage.
"Hey Elena," Olly says standing up
"Hey, are you guys leaving now too?" I ask
"No we're just sitting here with our bags for fun," he says sarcastically.
"Of course," I say realizing how stupid that was.
"Come on Elena," Beth says
"Coming," I say
I hug Olly and Alex walk over to me and hugs me too.
"Bye guys, have a good break," I say
I turn around and head for the door with Beth and Maddy close behind me. We walk out the common room doors and start up the stairs.
"So when did Claire leave?" I ask
"Early this morning, she wanted to make it home for her big family lunch," Maddy says
We make it to the top of the stairs where Hermione is waiting for us.
"There you are," she says rushing over to us. "Come on, Logan's been so worried," she says grabbing my hand.
She pulls me down the hall and Maddy and Beth follows. We walk down the main hall and I see Mike and Logan out the window waiting outside by the carriages. We walk down the small flight of stairs and walk out the front door. We walk to the carriages and Logan notices us.
"Elena, come on, we've been waiting for you," he says
I'm starting to realize that everyone is apparently waiting for me. I look at my watch and realize that I'm right on time.
"You told me to get here at 9:30," I say
"No I told you to get here at 9:00," he says taking my bag from me.
"Oh," I say stepping up into the carriage.
Maddy, Hermione, Beth, Logan, and Mike follow me and sit in the carriage. The carriage starts to move and everyone is silent.
"Will you come for dinner tomorrow?" Hermione asks
"For sure," Mike says
"Brilliant," she says
"Elena, did you bring Dime?" Mike asks
"He's already on his way home," I say
Logan smiles at me then grabs his bag and looks through it.
"Elena, I hope you don't mind, but I told Ron we would go visit his brother's new store in Digon Alley when we got back," Hermione says
"No problem, it sounds like fun," I say
