Chapter 24: We Have To Talk

Dumbledore and I appear back at the school in the Astronomy tower. I let go of his arm and fell to the floor.   

"It is quite normal to experience dizziness, " he says holding his hand out for me. "I assure you, it will pass," he says taking my hand.

he helps me up and I look around. I rarely ever come to the Astronomy tower for class and I can see why. There's nothing up here but a large globe surrounded by even larger rings. I guess it's used for looking at the sky so the actual room doesn't matter much. I walk over to the rail and look out at the Dark Forest. I wait to see Draco fly out of the trees and head straight for me. I feel the wind blow through my hair and I close my eyes.

"It really is quite complicated, isn't it?" I hear Dumbledore ask

"What is, professor?" I ask

"Love," he says

"I guess it is," I say looking back at him.

He was right. Draco and I's relationship was extremely complicated. I'm constantly lying to him to sneak away to DA meeting and he's been on edge ever since we saw his father in the tunnel that day.

"I assume you have not slept all night," Dumbledore says taking a few steps towards me.   "you may go back to your common room and sleep," he says motioning to the staircase.

I start to walk to the stairs and Dumbledore turns to me.

"And Ms.Bell," he says

"yes professor?" I say turning my head.

"I will tell professor Snape to allow you to sleep until you wake yourself,"  he says

"Thank you, professor," I say and walk down the stairs.

I walk down the stairs and into the corridor. I've only been to the astronomy tower twice before and I honestly don't know how to get back to the common room. I walk down the corridor hoping to see something familiar, but I don't. I look around for any pictures to ask for directions but I can't see any. I continue down the corridor and stop to look out a window. I see the moon hitting the Black Lake and the field surrounding it. I see someone walking in the field and instantly know it's Draco. I put my hands up on the window and watch him walk slowly. I sigh as I realize he's dragging his broom behind him. I look down and see the beautiful blue necklace he gave me and holds it in my hand. I look up and watch Draco for a moment then force myself to look away. I leave the window and continue down the corridor. At this point, I'm completely lost and honestly don't know where I am.

I come to a T shaped hallway and have to choose between left or right. I know that I'm lost and I don't want to get stuck somewhere. I stand there looking left and right but they look the same. I sigh and decide on the right. I start walking and stop immediately when I see a gold orb of light appear in front of me.  The ball slowly moves passed me and starts to go down the corridor on the left.

I guess I have to follow it. maybe it'll bring me to where I want to go. Maybe it's friendly.

I follow the orb down the corridor and up a staircase. I turn left, then left again, then right, then left. I walk up another staircase and arrive in front of the grand hall. The orb combusts into a note that reads Sleep well Ms.Bell and I know it's from Dumbledore. I walk down the main corridor and To the Slytherin staircase. I walk down the to dungeons and into the common room. I try to be as quiet as I can and hope I don't see Draco. I rush to my room and close the door behind me. I walk to my bed and instantly collapse.

I wake up to the bright sun in my eyes. I take a deep breath and remember all that happened hours ago. I roll over and look at my clock. It's 11:34 am. I sign and force myself to sit up. I look around the room, I guess hoping to see flowers or an apology from Draco. But there's nothing.
