I put all my equipment away and leave the Slytherin lockers. I walk out to the main hall and see Draco standing with Harry and instantly feel terrified and relieved at the same time.

"Draco!" I yell as I throw my arms around him.

"Hey," he says casually

"Where did you go?" I ask

"I have to help you, Elena, even if it means working with him," he says looking at Harry.

"What?" I say

"He's going to be helping us with Dumbledore's Army," Harry says

"Really?" I say looking at Draco

"He's really quite brilliant," Harry says "he just needed some encouraging"

"That's amazing," I say hugging Draco.

"Come on, we should find the others," Harry says.

I let go of Draco and we walk down the hall.

"Elena" I hear behind me.

I turn to see Maddy and Olly as they run after us.

"Hey...there you are," Olly says slightly worried.

He's clearly wondering how we're supposed to get rid of Draco for the meeting.

"He's joining us today," I say

"Wait, really?" He says

"Really" Draco replies

"Sounds like a good plan. What could possibly go wrong" Olly says sarcastically.

"Olly" Maddy says hitting his arm.

"No, he's right, there is a lot that could go wrong with this" Draco says.

"What do you mean?" I ask

Draco stops and looks at me. Then he looks at everyone else.

"Could you give us a minute?" Draco asks

"Of course," Maddy says pulling Olly with her.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Well," Draco says leaning against the wall.

"I think I'm being watched," he says.

"Draco that's crazy," I say.

"No, it's not, my father was the same age as me when he became...well you know," he says looking down

"Draco that's not going to happen to you," I say grabbing his arm.

"What if it does Elena, what if I don't have a choice?" He says

"Then I'm going with you," I say

"Elena that's crazy, I would never put you in that situation," he says

"Draco, Hogwarts isn't the same without you, and I would do anything to stay with you," I say

"Elena, there's no way I would let you do that," he says

"Then we'll have to fight it," I say

"Sounds good to me," he says

"I wrap my arms around him and he holds me close to him. I can feel his heart beating in his chest and I feel so safe.
