Dahlia's Fate

Chapter 5

I was about to run run when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"AHHH!! No! Don't eat me! I'm disgusting! Trust me!!!"

"Lia, calm down, Kyler is not a vampire, he is a regular  human being." Charlotte tried convincing me. And when I was about to protest she added, "And if he were a vampire, don't you think he WOULDN"T eat human food?" I looked at Kyler and he was eating an apple. When did he get that? probaly when I was 'spaced out' and looking somewhere else..or maybe he got it from his backpack.

"Not.. a vampire??" I looked at him for agreement and he shook his head.

"Not a vampire." Lier..But I love his voice, it's deep and smooth. All of a suddon I got this wierd feeling of being close to him, I looked at him again and could tell he could feel it too. I could feel my body getting closer to him. No I don't want this, what am I doing?! Before I could get any closer to him, the bell rang.

"See you in Social Studies Char, and you too Kyler, I guess."

Charlotte's POV

I started walking to Social Studies with Kyler, I can't believe she already judged him! Usually it takes about a day, but she judged him in less than two hours. Wth is going on in her mind?? Kyler pulled me out of my thoughts and asked me a question.

"So does she usually accuse everybody of being a vampire?" We tired avoiding bumping into everybody, we wouldn't have to do this if Dahlia was here, she could be crazy, but she's vicious too. Everybody's scared of her..urmm what would you call them..'Yell outs'? but anyway people are little scared of her, so they stay clear of her too. Everybody knows her, but she's an outcast, if that makes any sence?

"Urrmm no..not paticularly, she thought I was a smurf," he gave me a surprized look. "Cause I'm kinda small you know? Anyway's, I always stay clear of her when she has blue paint." He laughs at this, oh od his laugh is soo sexy...'Wait stop thinking like this Char,' I told myself. 'He likes Lia and she likes him back, deep down I know she likes him back, they have a conection, I can feel it,  and anyways I have a boyfriend who's name is Daemon, he told me it was greek, so I looked it up and found out it ment 'guardian spirit.' "So Kyler, do you like Dahlia?"

"Like how? A friend or more?"

"I don't know you tell me?"

"Well she's georgous, and has a wierd personality." Yeah, tell me about it. "But I don't know if I like her more than a friend yet..." I looked in his eyes, which were as blue as the ocean, and green  like grass mixed together, I could tell her was confused, but I could also tell that now that we are talking about her, I could see compasion, love, protection.. oh my god he's in love with her already!!

Before he could say anymore, I said "Oh my god, your in love with her aren't you?"

He looked surprized at first but then he nodded his head, "how did you know?"

"I could se it in your eyes. They're very pretty you know that?" He nodded his head and then shook his head a little, to make his hair cover his eyes, out of embaressment i guess. I laugh and then we turn into the door that leads us to Social Studies.

Kyler's POV

I think I found the one, but I'm not to shure yet. Charlotte surpized me when she asked if I loved Dahlia. At first I didn't know what to say, but then I realized I did love her already, she saw it my eyes and said they were pretty, I get that alot. After I got assigned to the table with Dahlia and Charlotte, I kept sneaking glances at Lia, the more I look at he, the more I know it's her from the prophecies,

The teacher was talking about the admendments to the constitution when he asked me "Mr. Pierce, what happened in 1791?" Crap he knew I was staring at Dahlia, I then heard a very sweet and soft voice telling me what to say,  I didn't know if it was right, but it was worth a try.

"It was the year that the first 10 amendments to the Constitution were made which protected the rights of individuals from abuses of the national government."

His jaw fell to the ground like no one every answered corectly, and Dahlia looked at me like I was crazy, I gave her the 'what?' look? She mouthed nothing and looked away quickly, I then looked at Mr. Ammon and he smiled (everyone gasped at this) and said "Very good Mr. Pierce! Very good! Keep up the good work!" I started feeling a little quesy about 5 minoutes later, my stomache starting to turn. I raised my hand and asked if I could be excused, he was still in a good mood I guess and said I could go.
