Dahlia's Fate

Chapter 17

I was crying in Kyler's shoulder, while we were out of the room. "Kyler, what's going on? Why is she having it a week early?" I wispered, me barley even hearing it.

"I don't know Flower, maybe it's cause her stomach?" I was shaking, out of control with my tears, sobbing like crazy, ugh he must think i look utterly gross.

"I'm sorry." I wispered to him when no more tears came out.

"For what? You did nothing wrong." I laughed a humorless laugh.

"I'm crying my eyes out, on your shoulder, sobbing, and probably am being gross, and you want nothing to do with this, or me, and you want to be home sleeping." As I said this, I clung onto him even tighter, afraid he would leave. He picked me up, bridal style, walked over to the chairs, sat down, with me ontop of him. I kept looking down, not wanting to see his disgust exrpession.

"Dahlia, look at me please." I skook my head. "Please? Just for a second and then, if you want, look back down." I slowly looked up to meet eye contact with him. I saw loving, and caring eyes looking straight back at me, no disgust, or no tiredness. " I will always be there for you, no matter what. Whether it's for my shoulder to cry on, or if you need a hug, or need to feel loved. I love you Dahlia Vangs, with all my heart. In my eyes, you are always beautiful, always sweet and caring, crazy, funny. I could go on and on about how much I love you, how much I care for you, and I will do whatever it takes to make you see that." I looked back down, and started playing with my fingers. He got my hand, intertwined my fingers, and kissed the back of my hand. "You don't have to say it back, but I love you Dahlia, so much, and I sware I will protect you for the rest of my life, I won't let anything happen to you."

I half smiled and leaned on his shoulder. I think I love him back, but is it to soon to tell? Am I just thinking this cause he said it? I started thinking back to where we first met, how crazy he probably thoat I was. How when we touch skin to skin, a warm spark go through my body. How our first kiss felt so magical, whenever we kiss it feels like I'm..falling in love with him all over again. I looked back up to him, he looked alseep. How long was I thinking? I kissed his neck and wispered, "I love you too Kyler Pierce." Actually meaning it, telling the truth one hundred percent

*Kyler's P.O.V.*

Dahlia just admitted she loved, me and I swear my heart just skipped a beat. At first I thought she wasn't going to say back, so I closed my eyes so she couldn't see the hurt.  but to my surprize, she said it back, I would've been running and jumping everywhere if it weren't for her laying on me, so instead I held her tighter. I think she noticed cause she giggled. 

"Ma'am?" Dahlia looked up orver to the nurse.

"Yes?" She questioned as if afraid what the answer was going to be.

"The baby's born but.."

"Where is she?? Let me see her!!" Dahlia jumped up and started to run to the room, pulling me behind her. When we walked into the room, Wisdom was holding her daughter with tears in her eyes and Cullen standing above them with a bid proud smile on his face. Wisdom looked up and saw us.

"Come and meet Dakota." I let go of Dahlia, but she tugged me to go with her. We walked over to the baby. Wisdom handed her to Dahlia, and you would've thought you just gave her $1,000,000. She started cying and held Dakota tightly to her. Dahlia looked at me and smiled, I smiled back and wiped her tears. She shifted her arms and I saw Dakota. She was tiny, with bright green eyes, and even though she's young, with small little locks of curly black hair. I put my finger in her hand and she held onto it. I smiled, Dahlia gigled along with her mom, and when I looked up at Cullen, he was smiling and nodded at me. I nodded back and for that slight second, everything seemed fine, until Wisdom started screaming.

*Dahlia's P.O.V.*

I was holding onto Dakota, and staring into her beautiful eyes when all of a sudden Mum started screaming I looked over at her and backed away. Dakota started screaming, I started crying and doctors were pileing in..shooing Kyler out of the room and not me or my dad. My mum grabbed onto my dad's hand squeezing it, and that's when I realized that my dream was coming true. I held Dakota closer to me trying to shush her whiling silent tears were running down my face. After about 15 minoutes, my mum stoped screaming. I looked at the beeping moniter, which sounded with only one beep and a long line. 

The nurse took Dakota away from me and I ran towards my mum pushing everyone out of my way. "Mum! Mum! Wake up! Answer me Mum! Please! Don't leave me, do't leave Dakota or Dad. Wake up Mum, please wake up." The doctors peeled me from my mum's cold montionless body. I couldn't stop crying, everything went quiet. I couldn't hear the long beep or the doctors trying to get my mum back, my dad trying to tell me to leave. But I was frozen in place looking around, until I saw the nurse. I ran to her. "Where is she?! Where is Dakota?!" I was shaking her I knew she was scared but I didn't care she pointed to the incabator, I ran to it and picked Dakota up and run out the room and into a corning, sat down, holding my baby sister crying my eyes out.

"Dahlia?" I looked up and saw it was Kyler. "Babe, can we give the baby back to the doctors so they can feed her and make shure she's healthy?" I nodded and let the doctors take her away, and Kyler sat down next to me and held me. "It'll be all right." I just nodded and cuddled into him holding myself.

"Why did she leave us?" I felt take a deep breath.

"Babe, sleep now, I'll explain later, okay?" I nodded, looked up and kissed him he kissed back right away. "Good night Flower."

"Night Kyler. I love you." I fell into a deep sleep when I said ' you'.
