Dahlia's Fate

Chapter 22

"Oh hello Ms. Vang, nice of you to join us today, Mr. Pierce." I sneered at him.

"Yeahh, don't praise yourself Mr. Coby, good luck." He looked scared when I said that, knowing I'll give him trouble, and I laughed at his face. "Priceless," I said to Kyler. I walked to the back of the classroom and saved two seats on the left of me for Char and Daemon, with Kyler on my right. But since we had tables, and only three could fit on one table there was an extra seat on Kyler's right and an extra seat on Daemon's left. Soon after Char and Daemon came, the whole classroom filled up. Then Desiree and her wanna-be's came in, looking all 'cool', and 'hot'. Note the sarcasm. Desiree came and sat by Kyler, giggling and being flirtatious, I rolled my eyes, took out my notebook, and started doodling.

"So Kyler, is it? I heard your new here." Desiree asked with her highly annoying voice.

"Mmhmm." He answered sounding really bored, and I smirked at my paper.

"Do you need anyone to, show you around?" I looked over and saw her all over him. My hand on the pen instantly tightened.

"No it's okay, I've got it covered." As he said this, he covered my clenched with his hand, and intertwined our fingers. I'm guessing Desiree saw this cause she snorted.

"Okay class, let's get started, so today we're going to learn about fractions." I didn't feel like listening so I turned my music on, listening to Secondhand Serenade, Fall For You, and started doodling with my left hand. After I completely filled up both sides of the paper, Kyler's hand that was still holding on to mine tightened. I took out and earbud and looked over at him, and froze. Desiree had her lips on his cheek going scloser to his lips. I was so pissed off I exploded.

"What the hell do you think your doing?!" The whole class looked at us.

"Trying to kiss the really hot guy." She answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Your trying to kiss my boyfriend!" I was standing, and so was Charlotte, trying to calm me by playing with my hair. Desiree looked between me and Kyler and busted out laughing, her wannabe's laughing aloung with her.

"You..and..Kyler? That's the most...observe..thing..ever!" She then turned serious and stood up. "I suggust you stop living a fantasy and grow up, like anyone like him would ever love you? The hottest guy in school go out with you? Yeah right, get real Vang. Your ugly. You know it, I know it, this whole school know's it. Your nothing, nothing and no one. Never was, never will be."

I felt hurt but didn't let it show. So instead I didn't say anything but I socked Desiree as hard as I could, ripped my hand from Kyler and ran out of the classroom, stopping and looking at the teacher, daring him to say something. I ran in the girls bathroom and punched the wall. I sat on the ground my back against the wall and started crying in my hands. She's right, of course she is. He's just playing around with me, I'm his toy. I'm nothing.

"Dahlia?"

"Get out." I said against my knees.

"Dahlia, hun are you alright?" I looked over at Charlotte, "That was a stupid question, of course your not alright." She sat down next to me and held me as I started crying into her shoulder and her was playing with my hair again.

"She's right." I wispered, she pulled me back and looked at me.

"No. She's not! How could you think that?" I shook my head.

"She's right, she's right, she's right." It seems that's all I could say.

"Dahlia listen, no she's not. She's wrong, look don't let this get to you. You've never let anything that she's said get to you, especially if it's not true. This wasn't true, so why should this get to you?"
