Thump...Thump...

The sound of your own heartbeat was quite loud in your ears as you huddled yourself further back into the closest, peering out through the single crack in the door and out into your empty bedroom. Wincing every now and then at the sounds of your crew screaming and crying until eventually you couldn't help but screw your eyes shut and cover your ears. All you had ever asked for was an alliance, nothing more and nothing less, but who would have guessed that such a simple request would turn out to be your biggest mistake...

-Six Months Ago-

You and your crew had decided to stop at a small island to restock, you weren't well known or a famous pirate just yet, but you were able to get a decent-sized bounty on your head for you to garner some recognition on the island. It was around that time that you had met him, the one and only Surgeon of Death—Trafalgar Law, captain of the Heart Pirates. He had a bounty of 200,000,000 at the time and you had deemed him in your book as a good form of protection. You see, your crew was slightly struggling as you seemed to be losing members left and right each week thanks to the Navy and bounty hunters constantly being on your ass. Common sense told you that you'd have to form an alliance eventually.

You had considered the Straw Hats and Kid Pirates before, having spotted both briefly on other islands, but opted not to for different reasons. So, with an air of confidence, you walked right over to the raven-haired captain and called out to him. Your crew silently cheering you on from behind as they watched you approach the more well-known pirate, all of them ready to jump in and defend their captain if they must. At first, the only response you got from him was a simple hum, but after calling out to him a few more times he eventually looked your way. Those steel-colored eyes of his seeming to just pierce right through you the moment his gaze locked with your own.

"I want to form an alliance" you had wasted no time in stating what you wanted from him, getting straight to the point and already coming up with ways to convince him to agree if he refused. But he didn't refuse, in fact, he looked quite amused and interested in what you said before giving a small shrug and a simple nod of his head. Something you took as an agreement. The first two months were quite wonderful as you and your crew followed behind his submarine on your ship, now relieved that you had some form of protection for the time being. But you started to notice something change after those first two months passed.

See, it wasn't uncommon for you to find yourself having to discuss important manners involving routes and such with the Heart Pirates captain. In the beginning, he normally seemed relaxed and usually would either agree or disagree with you depending on what his navigator thought. But recently, he seemed tenser than usual around you, always looking distracted and never really keeping up with what you were saying. Then soon came the constant staring and animalistic growls whenever he spotted you near other people, it started to make you feel uneasy. It started to make you wonder if you should stick around.

Another month passed and that weird behavior of his seemed to continue, in fact, it felt like it was starting to get worse, especially when he suddenly suggested that you should stay in one of the spare rooms on his submarine. Claiming it would be easier for you both to discuss important manners about your crew and alliance if you were on the same vessel. Next came his constant offers of a check-up to make sure that you were feeling fine and that you had no problems. You declined each time, growing uncomfortable with the lustful looks and twitching hands that came with his request. Soon after, you started to notice your undergarments and other common items—hairbrushes, toothbrushes, and such—started to disappear causing you to become suspicious of your alliance partners.

Another month soon passed, and the offer of a check-up was still being thrown into the air. With a sigh of defeat, you finally agreed to his offer. You were uncomfortable through it all, shivering at the cold, gentle hands that roamed over your skin—poking and probing delicately at all he could as if you'd break under his touch. He'd move closer anytime you adverted your gaze elsewhere, you knew this due to the fact that the space between the two of you seemed as if it was growing smaller. Your suspicions were confirmed though when you felt the metallic surface of the stethoscope press against your chest and your eyes locked with his immediately when you turned to look his way.
