Burning Passion - Zeref x Reader

A/N: I'm sorry if the Zeref is portrayed inaccurately I don't know this character that well.

He knew her since they were kids; [Full Name] was always at his house, but never there to see him. No she was more interested in hanging out with his younger brother, Natsu. The first time they had talked was when she was ten and he was thirteen. An incident had happen that lead to scrapped, bloody knees and loud sobs that he had to deal with. You could say that's when he started to develop feelings for [Your Name].

As years passed by, each time he would speak to her the more his feelings would grow. He held such a burning passion for her that it became somewhat unhealthy. He would watch her every move and also try to get close to her with every chance he got when she was over at his house with Natsu. Then the jealously started to kick in once he turned eighteen, he'd glare at his younger brother every time the pink haired boy would touch the [Hair Color] haired girl. It wasn't until he turned twenty one did he fully snap.

His left eye twitched as he ignored the cheering of his parents as they congratulated Natsu and [Your Name] for the their now blooming relationship. The two held hands and looked so delighted that it made his blood boil as he believed he should have been the only one to bring her such joy. He avoided the two for a while, that burning passion of his grew more and more as he slowly thought of different ways to obtain [Your Name]'s love. "What am I talking about? Of course she loves me, she has to" Zeref mumbled to himself as he stared up at his ceiling with furrowed brows before his drew his lips back into a smirk.

-Later-

"Hello, Natsu you said you wanted to see me" [Your Name] said as she knocked on the front door of the Dragneel's home. She swayed back and forth as she looked around the porch. After a while she once again knocked on the door as she pulled her phone out of her jean pocket. She unlocked it and pulled up the text her pink haired boyfriend had sent her this morning.

Hey, come by my house later today I want to show you something.

It was a short and simple text that she didn't think much of it. She put her phone away and walked along the side of the porch. She pressed her face against the window and peered inside into the dark living room, not seeing anyone inside. 'Their car's still here, so they must be home' she thought as she wandered back over to the front door and grabbed the handle. It turned with ease as the door creaked open slowly and the [Hair Color] haired girl peered inside. "Hello" she called out into the quiet house.

[Your Name] knitted her brows together as she entered the home and shut the front door behind her. "Natsu" she said, only to be met with silence. "If you're trying to scare me Natsu, it isn't going to work" she said as she walked further into the house and looked around the living room. Her ears perked up as she heard noises coming from above. "Must be up in his room" she mumbled as she stared up at the ceiling.

She mumbled lowly to herself as she descended up the stairs as she reached the top floor she moved a strand of [Hair Color] hair away from her [Eye Color] eyes. As she past by closed doors she reached Natsu's room which was across from his older brother's room. [Your Name] raised her fist and rapped it against the door as she waited for her boyfriend to allow her to come in. With a sigh after not getting a response she just grabbed the door knob and threw the bedroom door open. "Natsu what's this-" she started to say before stopping.

A strong metallic scent hit her sense as she stared with wide eyes at the bloody scene before her. Dull brown eyes stared up at the [Hair Color] haired girl as a cut ran down from the pink haired boy's throat and to his stomach with the skin pulled back completely to display his organs. Blood was splattered all over the room while [Your Name] recoiled back in disgust. Her voice was caught in her throat as she covered her mouth and nose while tears welled up in her eyes. She started to back away only to tense up as she felt her back hit something.

Gentle arms with hands stained red wrapped around her and held her close as she felt a warm breath on her neck. [Your Name] turned her head to the side and looked back at the raven haired male that held her so tightly in his arms. "Z-Zeref" she stuttered out as she stared at him with tears rolling down her cheeks. The older male stared down at her with a bright smile as he leaned down and kissed her cheek.

"Don't cry love" he whispered as he stared down at her with brown eyes that burned brightly with insanity. "You're now mine" he breathed out as he brought her closer and buried his face into her neck. [Your Name] tensed up as she held her breath as her stomach started to churn. "You have no idea how much I love you, the burning passion I hold for you" Zeref mumbled as he started to lightly kiss her neck. "And now finally I have you and I know you love me too, right?" He asked as he lightly bit at the [Hair Color] haired girl's earlobe.

[Your Name] swallowed thickly as she looked down at her boyfriend's dead body. There was a lump in her throat. 'If I denied him, who knows what he'll do, it's best just to play along for awhile' she thought as more tears fell down her cheeks. "I l-love you t-too, Zeref" [Your Name] stuttered out, as she bit her lip to hold back her sobs.
