Checkmate - Ciel x Reader

You were Elizabeth's friend, which most found a shock as the both of your personalities differed from one another. You were more sophisticated and serious while the blonde why very childish and hyper. You stared out the carriage window as Elizabeth was taking you over to visit her fiancé again. You've meet the young Phantomhive plenty of times before but never really felt comfortable in his presences. He gave off such bad vibes that you worried for Elizabeth, it didn't help that his butler gave off the vibes of a negative entity either.

You swallowed thickly once the carriage came to a complete stop, Elizabeth was the first off as she pushed past you and jumped out of the carriage. She ran towards the blue haired male that she was to marry when they reach the age of consent. You took your time getting out of the carriage, hesitantly you accepted the raven haired butler's help as you took his hand and stepped down onto the ground. You patted your dress and turned to the butler and gave a slight bow of thanks. Standing still you looked around as Elizabeth babbled on and on while hugging Ciel to death.

"Elizabeth, let go!" You heard the young Phantomhive exclaim in slight anger as he pushed her away. The blonde blinked her eyes before placing her hands on her hips and narrowed her eyes at him.

"I told you to call me Lizzy" the blonde said before she crossed her arms over her chest and pouted a little. The blue haired boy sighed but none the less nodded his head as he turned around and motioned for you and Elizabeth to follow. The blonde quickly recovered and leapt onto her fiancé, wrapping her arms around his arm as she walked beside him while you followed close behind.

-Later-

You quietly watched as Elizabeth struggled to play chess with Ciel, she was still learning and she already knew a few things but was still having trouble. A loud growl filled the room which caused the blonde to blush a little while placing a hand on her stomach. "Sebastian" Ciel said as he continued to boredly stare at the chess board. "Take Elizabeth to go get something to eat" he said as he looked to his butler, but there was a certain gleam in his eye that made you shift uncomfortable.

"Yes my lord" Sebastian said as he placed a hand to his chest and bowed. "Come with me Ms. Elizabeth" the raven haired man said to the young girl as she nodded her head. She gave you a small smile when you grabbed her arm when she walked pass, not wanting her to leave you alone with her fiancé. You let go of her and sighed as you listen to the wooden door open and then close as silence soon engulf the room.

"Would you like to play a round with me, [Your Name]?" Ciel asked as you looked up and watched him set the board up for another game. He sat patiently as he waited for your answer. Getting up from your seat you sat across from him and quietly waited for him to start the game. It was quiet for the most part; the only sound was the sound of the pawns being moved from space to space. "[Your Name]" you heard him say as you were snapped out of your concentration. You were losing badly.

"Yes" you responded back, a knot forming in your stomach as you started to grow nervous. Elizabeth and Sebastian should have been back by now.

"You're really beautiful; you know that and I was wondering if you would like to be my fiancée?" He asked giving you such a small smile that made your heart pound with fear.

"Uh, I'm sorry but isn't Elizabeth your fiancée? And besides I'm already engaged to someone else" it wasn't a lie. Your parents were in the process of getting you a fiancé, even if you didn't agree with it. It grew quiet as the blue haired boy sat there and stared at you with his one visible blue eye. Before long he started to laugh as his lips tugged back into a smirk and the air around him grew darker.

"I'm sorry, let me rephrase that. I want you to be my fiancé and nothing will change that, not even my arranged marriage with Elizabeth" Cielsaid as he leaned forward on the table and propped his head up with his hand. His fingers lightly curled around the top of the Queen as he lightly rolled it around. Just the way he stared at you with a look of infatuation, you couldn't help but swallow thickly as you clenched and unclenched your hands that rested on your lap. "Besides, Elizabeth won't be around for much longer" as he said that a loud scream pierced through your ears as it came from somewhere else in the manor. Your eyes widen as you stood up while your chair fell back and hit the ground.

"Checkmate" you heard him mumble as his Queen stole your King. You shook your head and started to walk towards the door before feeling him wrap his hand tightly around your wrist and yank you back towards him 'til you fell on his lap. You were frozen in place as those terrified screams were now replaced with low whimpers that were slowly dying out quicker and quicker. You didn't know what to do, but just feeling his warm breath on your neck got your heart pumping as you quickly started to struggle against him. You didn't even notice him laugh as he pressed his fingers to a certain area on the back of your neck.

Your vision started to blur while your movements became sluggish and before long your whole being went limp. "Don't worry; I'll make sure you'll be safe and sound around here. And that no one will ever take you from me" you heard Ciel whisper into your ear as he held you close.
