8) It's Gone

Chloes' P.O.V

I can't believe what happened last night. Shit got crazy. I got Megan to pick me up, and I'm lucky she was just up the road at her friends house. I explained everything to her.

"Chloe!? Are you up yet, love!?" Megan yelled up the stairs.

I walked down to the kitchen and sat at the bench.

"Don't yell." I pleaded.

I didn't really want to hear any yelling after what had happened last night.

"Oh shit. Sorry Chloe." She loudly whispered.

"He yelled at me. He has never yelled at anyone Megan. It takes a lot to make Ed yell. He'll never love me again. It's gone. Never coming back. He probably won't even speak to me again, Megan. What do I do?" I cried out.

"Awww honey." She sympathized as she came around to give me a hug. "If he loves you, he'll come back. If he doesn't, then he's not worth it."

I looked into her emerald green eyes, as mine filled with tears. She hugged me even tighter.

"I still love him, Megan. But I hate him at the same time. It's like, loving food, but not wanting to get fat. But it's loving and wanting Ed, but not wanting to get cheated on, and argue again." I sobbed.

"Look, Chloe. I know it's hard, but you're tough. You'll get through this. And if you can't do it yourself, I'll be there every step of the way." She promised me.

She was such a good friend. She was the best friend I could ever ask for. She knew exactly what to say, or what to do, at the perfect moment. Why was I blessed with such an amazing soul? I don't deserve her, but she refuses to leave me alone. We've been friends since we were born pretty much, and we've been impossible to break apart since.

"Thanks, Megan. I'm so glad I have you as my best friend. I would be fucked without you." I told her.

"Yeah. I know." She smiled.

We heard a knock at the door, so I went to answer it. I opened the door, and seen a guy with brown hair, and cute haircut looking down. He looked fairly fit as well. He had a flat looking stomach, but I couldn't tell if it was toned by is loose, white shirt. But his sleeves looked like they were going to rip, because of how big his biceps were.

"Uh, hello?" I said, making him realize that there was someone at the door.

He looked up, and it was the one and only, Liam Payne.

"Oh, hey! I'm Liam. Is Megan there?" He asked, as he flashed me a smile.

"Uh, yeah! I'll grab her now." I replied as I turned around to go and get her.

"Wait!" He called after me.

I turned around and walked back to the door.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Chloe." I replied as I flashed him a small smile.

"I knew you looked familiar!" He shouted.

"Excuse me?"

"You're Eds' girlfriend, right? He's always talking about you. He really loves you, you know that right?" He told me.

"Uh, we broke up actually. Last night. We had a really big argument. It's gone." I softly replied.

"Did he yell at you?"

"Yeah."

He just looked at me. He had sympathy in his eyes.
