You're almost there. Please wake up.

"Hey lucky!! Want the left overs? Yeah here" I give the rest of my dinner to lucky who's begging at my feet.

"Jackson! Come here!" James yells upstairs. I leave lucky in my room and walk downstairs with a jump in my steps. As I walk into the kitchen my heart drops.

"What is he doing here?!" I yell at James who is standing across from me and behind him stands our uncle.

"Oh my boy! Thank goodness you're okay! I heard you tried the cowards path" He says sympathetically and rudely, I gasp at his words and step back.

"Uncle! Don't come here just to insult him! What do you want?" James yells as he walks in front of me.

"I just wanted to check up on how my nephews are doing! Besides how you are such a coward you can't even stay alive! How are things? How's that girlfriend of yours? Awake yet?"

"Jackson, don't" James mumbles in my ear.

"Everything's fine. Sadie is awake and her family is in Asia right now. Is that what you wanted to know?" I say lying with ease.

"Can you contact her?" He steps forward.

"No, she in a pretty remote part of Asia so she doesn't get any signal and beside she decided not to take her phone anyway"

"Oh, bummer. How about you James? Anyone you're interested in?" Wow, he let it go...

"No" He says monotonous but with a hint of anger.

"Oh too bad! You were never able to get a girlfriend! I thought you would grow out of it but I guess you will.never.find.someone" He says with fake pity.

James lunges toward him but I grab his arm and pull him back whispering 'he's not worth it'.

"Uncle. I want you out if this house" ... " Now!" I yell after he doesn't move.

"Come on! I want to spend time with my nephews. You are my blood anyway!" He steps toward us with arms spread.

"Why would you think we would want that!? I want nothing to do with you and I'm sure as he'll Jackson feels the same way!"

"You say stuff like we're your blood! I don't want that! I wish you were never a part of our lives! You know what? actually I should thank you cause if you weren't I wouldn't be who I am right now! All of the times you beat me!? Just made me stronger! So thank you uncle! Get out of our house. And for the love of God. Get out of our lives!"
