"Jackson can you give your understanding of why this is?" My English teacher asks.
"Well I think that people would have preferred to have something they would benefit from" I reply looking at the teacher.
"You are absolutely correct! The people loved the gift Poseidon gave them but the water was salt so when Athena planted an olive tree it was much more useful. Very good. Okay class pack up! Have a good day" The bell rings and my class files out.
"Jackson! Wait up!" I turn to see Peter kiss Luke goodbye then run off and Luke joins me. "So. How are things?"
"Pretty good actually I-" my phone rings and cuts me off. "One sec"
Me:Hello?
Caller:Jackson Soul?
Me:Speaking.
Caller:Yes. I need you to come down to the hospital.
Me:What's this regarding?
Caller:Amy Vale. Her condition has changed.
Me:I'll be right there.
"I'm so sorry Luke I have to go! That was the hospital, Amy's conditions changed!"
"No, no. Go! Tell us how it goes later!"
I nod and run. Everything seems to move in slow motion. I run past groups of people talking with friends and having a grand old time. I run into someone and we both fall on the floor with papers flying everywhere.
"Sorry" I yell as I jump up and keep running. I go to the student car park, get in my car and drive to the hospital.
As I run through the hospital and burst through Amy's room door I see it. I see her.
"Jackson" Amy says to me. Her voice fills every void. Her beautiful expression looking straight at me. I run over to her kiss her. Softly so I don't hurt her but with enough feeling so she can see how much missed her.
I see her eyes.
