Paige POV
Hi s eyes looked insane, they looked empty like they had never seen anything but darkness. His face expressed depression, anxiety . He spoke as if his vocabulary lacked the word love, lacked love. The room smelled putrid , the air was hot and thick. I had no idea how long we were in the outhouse, but I kept quiet. The moonlight came directly through the small window near the ceiling and hit my face.
"Don't try to act asleep." his voice was laced with anger. I saw him shift in the corner and stand up. He came over to me . He grabbed my waist and pulled me to my feet. Everything went black and I struggled to keep my balance while the head rush subsided. "You, your stupid brother and all his friends are gonna experience what I experienced." He let go of me and shoved me up against the wall. The back of my head hit the bricks and agonizing pain shot through my slightly drugged head. I closed my eyes and started to slide down the wall . He grabbed my arm and yanked my body back up. All the trust I ever had in anyone drained when he grabbed my shirt at the bottom and pulled me away from the wall, he held me up by the shirt and took out a dull knife. My heart pounded like a drum beating through my head, and pulsing through my veins with every hit. The knife was gripped in his hand and he started cutting through the rope around my waist. It was rubbing blisters around my stomach and back. Then I felt a cool, sting where he was cutting the rope. His knife was dull and the rope was thick, so it took tremendous effort for him to slice through it. He swore under his breath and I realized he cut me. He whipped the shirt completely off my head and took his off as well. The rope was no longer around my body, or wrists. My arms were free but I didn't dare move them, I had lives in my hands. He dabbed up the small amount of blood that escaped my side with his own shirt, the cut was not deep and had already stopped bleeding. He put my shirt back on to my body. I was beginning to fall over and he was supporting me. I saw a glimpse of human in his eyes before he pushed me up again and repeated his threat once more, then opened the door to the out house and let a gust of air enter his lungs before he shoved me out the door. " Go." he said. I started to stumble away but my thoughts got the best of me and I turned around.
"What is wrong with you?!" I asked. The human in his eyes drained.
"Shut up or I will kill your family." He reminded me.
"I thought you were my family." I whispered before turning back around and stumbling away.
