***CASSIE***
Jenna called me. Through the phone, I could hear her tears.
"Jenna, what's wrong?" I worriedly asked.
"Calum was cheating on me," she cried. Calum had been Jenna's boyfriend for the last month and Jenna really liked him. She knew she was taking a risk, with Calum being the most popular guy in school and having his own band, but I really thought that he liked her.
"He hooked up with another girl at a concert party last week," Jenna sobbed into the phone.
"Okay, okay," I soothed. "I'll come over now." I hung up.
I stood up, grabbed my converse, and headed to my car.
"That bastard," I muttered while I started my car.

When I got to Jenna's, her mom, Kate, opened the door.
"Oh, Cassie. It's good to see you," she said. "Jenna's upstairs. She's really upset. I tried talking to her, but she was just crying."
"Ok, thank you Mrs. Williams," I said as I headed up the stairs to Jenna's room.
When I got to her room, I found her lying on her bed, staring at the ceiling.
"Hey," I said.
Her eyes flicked to me, and then she said, "Hey."
She sat up and looked at me with tears in her eyes. I went and sat next to her. She weakly smiled.
"I'm sorry," I whispered, and then she hugged me, crying into my shoulder. I stroked her hair. It hurt seeing my best friend like this. The only other time I'd seen her like this was when Adam, her boyfriend for a year, had broken up with her. He had said that he was bored of their relationship, so he left her. She was devastated, and every time she sees Adam in school, she gets all mad.
"Hey," I said, lifting her head up. "He shouldn't get to hurt you like this. He's a jerk, and there's no sense in crying over him."
Jenna looked at me and wiped the tears away from her eyes. She sat up a little taller. "You're right. I don't know why he was such a big deal to me," she said. But I do. Everyone loved Calum. He was the most popular guy in school, and the star of the amazing soccer team. He was in a band with some o his friends, and he played the bass guitar. I'd heard they were really good. He was charming, with his chocolate brown eyes, and the smile that made almost any girl melt. But not me. I saw right through him. All he wanted was to take advantage of a girl, and then dump her for the next. That's why I told Jenna to be careful when he showed interest in her. She said she would be, but it's hard when you're with the Calum Hood.
"How about some shopping?" I suggested, knowing there's no way Jenna would turn that down.
She nodded and smiled, a genuine smile.
