***CASSIE***

I only had Calum in one of my classes.  It was history.  It was so boring, and Calum and his friend, Luke, usually messed around the whole time.  But today, Calum quietly scooted his chair next to mine.  "Hey," he whispered.  "It's me, from earlier."  I squinted my eyes, acting like I didn't remember.

"Oh yeah," I said.  "From the hall."

He chuckled.  "Ya.  From the hall."  Then he flashed me a smile.  "So, I was wondering if you had second thoughts about Friday?"

"Oh... I don't know," I replied.  He sighed, then smiled.

"Ok, fine.  Be that way," he said, and then scooted his chair back next to Luke.

It was Wednesday and I was in chemistry.  It had been a normal day, but halfway through my class, a boy with a single rose entered the classroom. "What are you doing and who are you?" Mr. Fields angrily yelled.  The boy didn't say anything, but instead he walked over to me and handed me the rose.  Then a few more boys came and did the same thing.  Soon I had 2 bundles of roses and a yelling Mr. Fields on my hands.  Then the speaker crackled and Calum's voice came through the speakers.

"Attention, students.  This is Calum Hood, and I have a message for someone. " Hmm, I wonder who that could be.  "My number is,"- all the girls rummaged through their backpacks for pens- "572-458-9264.  Thank you students of Jackson High."

I chuckled lightly.  He really wanted me.

On Thursday, Calum caught up to me in the hall.

"Hey, did you hear the announcement yesterday?" he asked.

"Ya, I heard it," I said casually.

"Oh," he said,  "'cuz I didn't get a call."

"I didn't have a pen," I replied and walked away.

It was Thursday night, and Jenna was at my house.

"What should I do now? He obviously wants me and if I keep playing hard to get, he's gonna quit trying," I said to Jenna.

"Now you have to agree to go on the date," she shrugged.  "But don't act too excited."

I laughed.  "I'm not."

"Well, I should probably go.  My mom will have dinner done soon," Jenna said as she looked at the time on her phone.

"Kk.  See ya tomorrow," I replied.

"Yup, see you tomorrow."

I was getting my books from my locker when Calum called my name.  I turned and saw him running towards me wearing black skinny jeans and a Nirvana t-shirt.  His hair was quiffed up and he looked pretty hot.

Oh my God.  Did I just check out Calum Hood? Oh my God.

"Hey, you thought about tonight?" he asked.

"If I say yes will you leave me alone for the rest of the day?" I compromised with a smile.

"I guess," he shrugged.

"Ok, fine,"  I caved.  "When are you picking me up?"

"Oh, um... I'll pick you up at 8, and is it okay if we go to the Zone?" he suggested.

The Zone was the hangout for the cool kids.  I didn't expect to ever actually go there, but since I was hanging out with Calum Hood, I guess I'd earned my spot.

"Ya, sure," I casually said.

"K, see you tonight." He flashed a smile and walked away.
