NICKS POV

Parker was asked to come a little early to help set up. Unfortunately for me, Parker was my only ride to the party since my car was low on gas and I didn't feel like paying to refill the tank.

It was either go with him early or don't go at all. Personally, I was alright with the don't go at all option but I had already told my mom about leaving tonight, so most likely she invited her boyfriend to come over.

So going early seemed like the only option.

"Are we the only ones setting up?" I ask Parker.

"Nah. I'm pretty sure Ian and Kenzo are there. Along with Gena, Emily and Amanda. But knowing Drew, there's probably like twenty other people there."

"Then why do we have to be there?"

"You've seen Drew's house. Twenty people isn't enough."

"Why didn't he just hire some people to set up or whatever." I scoff. "We should just come back later."

Parker seems notices my lack of interest in going and speaks up just as he halts at the red light.

"Okay hold on a second. Why are you in a bad mood? We just won the game! Also, since when have you not been down to go to a party?" He pushes me with questions.

I say the first thing that comes to mind. "You know Drew and I aren't really-"

"Good friends. Yeah I already know that. Everyone knows that. But I know for a fact that's not the problem here since you've gone to his parties before." He tells me.

"I'm just not up for a party tonight." I groan.

"Bullshit Nick." Theres a long silence just before Parker shouts, "I know why!"

I roll my eyes at him. "Whatever you're thinking of, it's probably not the reason why."

"You're just upset because your best friend had a cute romantic kiss scene at the end of the football game with Drew. Isn't it?!" He jabs his elbow into my arm with his last words.

I would no doubt punch Parker in the face right now if only he wasn't the one driving.

I had texted Jordan an hour after the game. I'm positive that Drew would convince Jordan to go to the party after that stunt he pulled off. He's always been a show off. Especially when he has a "new girl."

I sent Jordan a text saying to go to the party tonight because I wanted to talk to her. I don't even know why I texted her that. I guess I missed talking to her. All I remembered was hitting send before even realizing what I had done.

The only thing is, she didn't reply back. She either a) read it and forgot to reply. b) didn't check her messages. or c) just doesn't give a crap about me anymore.

"I don't give a crap about Jordan and Drew."

"So if you were to see her at the party tonight, you'd be okay with that?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"What if you saw her together with Drew? You'd you be okay with that?"

"Don't care."

"How about if you saw them passionately making out in a corner? Would you be okay with that?"

"One hundred percent." I try to say convincingly.

"Still don't believe you, but whatever. If you say so." Parker laughs.

The topic about Jordan and Drew are pushed aside in my head the second we arrive at Drew's house. The last time I went to his house was for his birthday earlier this year, and it wasn't even this nice then.
