I find busses in the morning oddly peaceful. Despite the gross seats and dirty windows, everything else isn't so bad. Do you ever find yourself staring at people on the bus and wonder where they're going? Because that's me right now.

If only I didn't have this huge ass backpack on my back weighing my shoulders down. Public transportation would be easier. I'm bumping into passengers as I try to make my way off the bus.

"Excuse me." I mumble repeatedly.

The school just opened a couple minutes ago. Meaning, I have a good hour and a half of peace and quiet before it gets hectic.

I find my way to the school library and sit down at the nearest empty table. Luckily, there's only about 5 people here including the librarian.

Philosophy: Questions & Theories 101

Physics: Forces of Motion and Energy Transformations

Advanced Functions - University

Biology: Concepts in biological systems

I don't know how I managed to fit these four textbooks in my bag. I spent all of yesterday studying from my Philosophy textbook. Since it's my first exam, I wanted to focus on it first. However, Advanced Functions is my absolute worst enemy. So for today, I guess I'm going to have to study for that instead.

I'm only one chapter in, when I feel a large figure stand behind me.

"Math sucks doesn't it?" I hear a voice say to me.

I turn and look up to see Drew Clavell, member of the football team, looking right over my right shoulder.  He flashes me a grin and I suddenly forget my vocabulary.

He has neatly styled light brown hair that looks almost too perfect to be real and intense hazel eyes that make you want to stare into them forever.

"Uh-yeah." I reply.

God he's gorgeous.

"I could help you out if you're having trouble."

He's good in math? It's not that I'm judging but most guys on the team don't really seem to be all that good in subjects like math, science, or english. Most of the classes they do well in are the ones that don't require much thinking. Like cooking class.

It might not be true though. I'm probably just judging the football guys based off of Nick. He's the only one I actually really know on the team.

"It's not really my best subject..." I admit.

"You're Nick's friend right? Jordan?" He asks sitting next to me.

"Yeah." I say shyly.

"I'm Drew. I don't know if he's ever mentioned me before.."

"I know you. You're on the football team with him. I've seen you before."

"Like what you see?"

I deeply exhale not realizing I've been holding my breath this entire time. An obvious sign of nervousness.

Now that Drew's here, there's no way I'll be able to get any studying done.

He notices my awkwardness and starts laughing.

"I'm not talking about me. I meant, our team. Do you think we're good?" He smiles.

"Don't know. I haven't been to any of your games this year."

"Are you serious?"

"The last time I watched a football game was probably two years ago."

"Doesn't Nick ever bring you? Or don't you ever support him?"
