That day was the physical exams. I couldn't stop freaking out.
I didn't sleep. It was seven in the morning and it was the time for me to get out of bed. My eyes were wide open with purple bags under them. I dragged myself out of bed and threw on some clothes like a robot. Then I didn't make my lunch or eat breakfast, I just walked out the door. Kill me... I got on the bus. I could jump out the bus... The bus ride felt short. Why me... I got off the bus. Kill me... Kazue was waiting for me.
"Hey Nam- Wow... What happened to you?" He asked, peering into my face.
"You didn't sleep, did you... Oh gosh. Don't worry, Nami! I'll take care of this." He said, trying to reassure me. My life is over... I need this education... Kill me... The bus began moving and I tried to walk in front of it but Kazue grabbed me.
"Hold on! I'm telling you, I'll find way!" He smiled. He can't do anything... Kill me... Then, the bell rang. Physical exams began.
The boys entered school, getting into one extremely long, long, long line. I was in the middle of the line, behind Kazue. I freaked out and time went by pretty quickly, and before I knew it, I was up next. Kazue did, indeed, as he said, have to strip. But there was a curtain and all I saw was his silhouette.
"You may leave." The doctor said. The curtain opened and Kazue was fully dressed except he was putting on his shirt. My eyes widened. Abs. Gorgeous hip bones.
Uh... Nami, your next." Kazue smiled. He walked off somewhere. I felt myself sweating as I stepped into the curtained area.
"Oh, it's you!" The doctor said, closing the curtain.
"Please remove your pants." He smiled. Oh god no! Just as I was sweating, unzipping my jeans, there was an extremely loud unbelievable sound that almost made my ears bleed.
"THAT'S THE FIRE ALARM!" someone screamed, and everyone joined in, rushing to the school exit, disobeying teacher's orders. The doctor ran, too. Did Kazue pull that alarm? No wait! It must be a real fire! I ran to the exit but I ran into someone. Kazue. He was smiling.
"I pulled the alarm, there's not really a fire." He said. I felt so relieved.
"Oh my god! Thank you, Kazue!" I hugged him without thinking. Kazue's eyes widened and there was a light tint of rose spreading on his cheeks. He hesitated, but slowly wrapped his arms around me. The hug was just a couple of seconds and then everyone starting walking back into the school.
"There was no fire?"
"No one knows why the alarm went off."
"Someone must have pulled the alarm."
"But who?" Everyone was so confused. The doctor wasn't there, I looked for him everywhere.
"What happened to the doctor?" Kazue asked a boy.
"He nearly had a heart attack when she alarm went off. As soon as we found out someone just pulled the alarm he was pissed and he just walked off. I guess the exams are cancelled." The boy shrugged. My face lit up and Kazue smiled to me. This went better than I expected!
Lunch time, noon.
Kazue was sitting with his friends, leaving me alone at my desk. I had nothing to eat and I was starving. I eyed Kazue but he never looked back at me. I want his food. I eyed his cake. I began getting pissed. Just when I was going to scream at him he noticed me looking at him and walked over to me."No shit to eat?" He asked, sitting in the seat in front of me, backwards, facing me. I didn't reply.
"So no? One second." Kazue retrieved all his lunch and moved to sit with me. Then his friends, a group of probably ten guys, followed him.
"Kazue, why are you sitting with this short-nerdy-looking guy?" One asked. I'm not a guy...
"He dresses terribly..." One said. It's not my fault, I can't wear my girl clothes here...
"He's ugly." Another snickered. I'm ugly? ...Yeah... I hung my head.
"Oh, shut the hell up! Just go away!" Kazue snapped back. His friends looked shocked but they all backed off, back to their table.
"Sorry about that." Kazue smiled. I'm ugly?
"Nami?" Kazue peered into my face. Ugly...
"Hey, what's wrong?" Kazue asked.
"Am I ugly?" I suddenly asked, looking up at him.
"Huh? You? Ugly? No! You look pretty cute, in fact!" Kazue said and then poked the tip of my nose. My eyes slightly widened and it felt like breath had escaped me. Then, Kazue took his cake on a fork, and gave fork to me.
"Here." He smiled. I turned away.
"Huh? Why not?" He asked.
"Feed me." I demanded.
"Pfft... Ahaha!" He began laughing.
"What?" I asked. "I never thought you'd say that!" He chuckled.
"Alright, open wide!" He winked.
"Don't say it like that you pervert." I said with a straight face.
"Huh? O-Oh! I didn't mean it like that...!" He reddened.
"Sure." I said, biting the cake off of the fork, and then finishing it off with a couple more. Delicious as always... I hid a smile as I looked down.
"Is it good?" He asked.
"It's okay." I said.
"Hah, you're too mean to admit it's good." He laughed.
"Shush." I hid another smile. I wish I could eat this cake everyday.
Free period, one in the afternoon.
Blondie and I were sitting up at the roof of the school, watching the clouds. We leaned on the fence."That one looks like a butt." I mumbled, pointing at an especially puffy clouds.
"That one looks like you." Kazue pointed up at a completely flat cloud.
"Hey! Meanie!" I punched his arm.
"Ahahaha! Hey...! Ow! Ahaha!" He laughed. His blond hair flowed in the the wind delicately. I noticed how his deep blue eyes were like the ocean. My hair also flew sideways, covering my face as I hid yet another large smile.
"Hey, it's another version of you!" He pointed at a very fat cloud.
"Hey!" I said, insulted.
"Ahaha! Relax, I'm kidding!" He laughed. I let out a little giggle myself on accident.
"Did you just giggle?" Kazue smiled.
"...No..." I turned away.
"Yes you did! Ahaha!" He laughed.
"Don't laugh at me..." I said, looking away.
"I'm not laughing at you because I think it's stupid, I'm laughing because it was unbelievably cute!" He beamed with another large smile.
"...Idiot." I felt my face heat up a little. We looked up at the clouds silently and I slowly dozed off to sleep, leaning my head on Kazue's shoulder.
