Chapter 7

"Mom? Mom are you in there?" I knocked on the door again. She never let's me in the study,so I hesitated before opening the door. I gasp. "Mom!!" The papers were everywhere and it looked like she was trying to get up because she was on the floor a few feet away from her chair. "Chad!!!!" Instead of Chad appearing next to me, it was Carter. "What happened?" I started to tear up. He pulled me into a hug as soon as everyone else showed up. Nash called the police and we just waited. I couldn't help myself anymore and broke down. I felt someone put their hand on my back. "She'll be okay, Emiko. It's ok you'll be fine alright. Come on." I soon realized it was Nash. He pulled me into another embrace and I just cried.
*time skip to the hospital*
"Emiko we have have bad news. If everyone else will please leave the room." After everyone left the room, I began to pace back and forth."Apparently she has cancer." I shook my head. "Then why would she pass out like that?!?!" The doctor sighed. "I wish I knew but also the tumor has grown too big, so it can't be removed." I teared up again. "How long doc?"
"About a year and five months at the most." I sighed and sat down." Do you mind if I say doc?"
"Not at all. Stay as long as needed."
Carter's POV
After the doc left, I went back in the room. Emiko was crying and holding her mother's hand. I went next to her and tried to comfort her. She turned and cried into my shirt. "Shhh....it's ok just let it out." I put my head on top of hers and we just sat there. After 30 minutes, I heard her stomach growl. "Do you want anything?" I looked down at her and she looked up at me. Her cheeks were stained with tears and her beautiful hazel eyes were now red. She nodded, so I kissed her forehead and got up. "Stay here ok? I'll be right back."
