Jade was more interactive this week than before, she seemed a little more... Okay and I was worried but glad at the same time. I was cooking dinner and Jade was helping me instead of locking herself in her room. She took over when I got light headed and went to sit down in the living room. Tommy was probably at the gym right now, and I missed him because he left in the morning. Maybe it was just the hormones.

I didn't ask Jade why she was in a better mood, I didn't want to risk bringing out something that would hurt her. I heard the front door open and I got up, running as fast as I could and jumping on Tommy, wrapping my legs around his waist and hugging him tightly. He laughed, holding me only with one arm as he put his stuff down. I told him how much I missed him and got off of him. He kissed my cheek gently, his hand on my stomach for a moment. He was always touching it, rubbing it, laying his head on it even though it wasn't his to worry about.

I was about five months in now, and my baby bump was pretty visible. I waddled and Tommy kept saying how it was so cute when I walked down the stairs, but he hated when I would do it alone, scared I'd fall and hurt myself. Even Jade was becoming excited, talking about being the best aunt ever, and I was so glad my baby had people like Jade and Tommy in their life.

"Im gonna find out the gender at my next appointment" I spoke to the two of them as I stirred the food in the pot.

"I WANT A BOY" Jade smiled, and I nodded, I wanted a boy too, of course in the end it didn't matter, I would love this baby regardless. I looked at Tommy, who didn't really care what they were, and i wondered if he was starting to love the person inside me like they were his own.

"Can.. Uh, you come with me to my next-" I turned to talk to Tommy but he cut me off.

"Of course Naomi, why are you even asking?" He hated when I asked stuff like that, because he thought the answer was always obvious. Tommy has been taking me to all my appointments, getting me everything I needed and even making sure I was eating right.

Jade in the other hand sat awake with me thinking about names, which was adorable, we still haven't found one but I loved her so much for going through this with me. I could tell she was back on pills, but since the day that Tommy flushed them she's kept them on her at all times,I'm searched her room for them to take them away from her but she was one step ahead and never let them out of her sight.

I sighed, wanting her to just let us help her again, she knew she was better than all of this, yet still went after the pills when stuff got rough. But that was addiction, and I would've done the same thing if I wasn't pregnant right now, indulging in alcohol... I missed if so much, but I knew what was the priority.

Jade liked to listen to my stomach too, she liked to see the little foot or hand press against the skin from the inside, and I thought it was so amazing that these two were just as excited as I was to bring this little one into our little broken family.
