Zayn's POV
"Zayn, please, please, call me back. I need you right now and you ignoring me is killing me. Please, Pretty Boy, call me back. I love you, just call," I listened to Lyric's 22nd voicemail for the 13th time.
I sighed, I can't keep doing this, I need to get over it, I need to remember she's Harry's and I have Perrie. It only hurts until the pain goes away, right?
My phone starts playing "Good to You" by Mariana's Trench. I sigh, knowing it's Lyric and knowing I'll most likely have another voice mail. I can't answer, I just can't take hearing her voice and having to reply. Why did I have to fall for her after she was already taken? After I already had Perrie? After she has two kids with my best mate?
My phone stopped ringing and I picked it up, seeing another voicemail. I called it and listened to it. "God dammit, Zayn Jawaad Malik! Answer your damn phone! Please? I just want to know where you are, I miss you and you're starting to worry me. Please, come home? Love you, Pretty Boy."
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. I'd rented a hotel room not to far from the house, I just couldn't be in the same house as them. I took a deep breath and dialed Lyric's number.
"Zayn! Where are you? What happened? Why'd you leave so soon?" she answered.
"Lyr, calm down. I'm fine, I left because something came up," I told her.
"Do you know how worried I've been about you, Zayn? I thought you got kidnapped or something!" she exclaimed.
"I'm sorry I worried you," I said, feeling a little guilty.
"Where are you?" she asked again, concern in her voice.
"Meet me at the Starbucks down the street, we can talk there, I want to see you," I replied.
"I'll be there in ten," she said.
"I'll see you there, Pretty Girl," I said.
"Bye. I love you, Pretty Boy," she said.
"I love you, too," I said. More than you'll ever know, I added in my head. I hung up and got dressed. I'd been in sweats and a white graphic tee for the past week.
I put on a pair of black skinny jeans, a black v-neck, my leather jacket, and my combat boots. I did my hair, quite messily, but I wanted to see Lyric.
I walked out of my room and took the stairs down to the lobby. I walked out of the hotel, waving to the receptionist. I walked across the car park and got in my car before driving to the Starbucks.
I took a deep breath and walked in. There was hardly anyone here, except a few older people and a blonde with a car seat. My blonde with a car seat. Zayn! Stop it!
A smile broke out on her face and she ran towards me, hugging my waist tightly, "I was so worried," she said, sobs escaping her lips.
I rubbed her back, "Shhh, I'm fine, Lyric. You don't need to worry about me, I'm the Bradford Bad Boi, remember?" I joked, trying to lighten the mood and ignore the butterflies in my stomach.
"Don't ever do that again! Do you remember how you felt when I had my nightmare when I was pregnant with Mason? Well, I'm pretty sure this is worse. At least we were in the same hotel room! Not however far away you were!" she exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, just, please, stop crying, Lyric. Come on, let's go sit down so I can meet my nephew," I said, pulling herbivore to the table and sitting down across from her.
I looked at Mason. He was dressed in a onesie that read 'Daddy's Little Monster' and a pair of sweat pants. He had on a cute blue and black jacket and a little fur hat, not unlike the one Kale has. He looks almost exactly like Kale as well.
"He's a cute one," I tell her, looking at her through my eyelashes.
She smiles and nods, looking at her son with so much love and adoration. "He is. It's a good thing both our boys look like Harry," she says, looking down at him.
I look at her. Is she crazy? "Lyric! You are one of the most beautiful women in the world! These boys are missing out looking so much like Harry!" I exclaim.
A pink blush paints her cheeks as she looks up at me, "Thank you, Zayn," she smiles.
"Any time, babe," I tell her. My heart feels like it's in a million pieces. I shouldn't have asked to meet her here.
"So, where have you been? All of us have been worried sick about you," she says.
I take a deep breath, "I just needed a little time away," I tell her.
"Zayn, you know you can tell me anything, right?" she asks softly. Her hazel eyes stare into mine and my body works without my mind knowing what it's doing, and I kiss her.
She hesitates and then kisses me back. It gets a little heated before we both realize what's going on and pull away in a haste. "I am so sorry, Lyric, I didn't mean to," I say, my eyes filling with tears.
"I-it's okay. But no one can know about that," she says as her eyes scan the now empty restaurant.
"I should leave," I say, standing up.
"No, Zayn, please, tell me where you're going," she pleads, her big eyes begging.
"I'm staying at the small hotel about five minutes from the house," I answer before walking out and running to my car.
I can't believe I just did that.
A/N: Hey!!!!! So, what'd you think? Who wants a sequel? If you do comment away! I honestly don't want it to be over and u have big plans for a sequel, but you need to get 50 votes and comments before I continue, yeah? But, for now, Hyric, Kale, and Mason are over. Bye, bye!
