Eleanor's POV
Louis lay in bed beside me, drawing circles on my stomach and whispering sweet words to our baby. "Daddy loves you, my beautiful, beautiful little baby. Kale's not too pleased, but I'm sure by the time you get here he'll love you," he said. I thought it was cute how close he was to the little boy.
"Just think, babe, in little over six months our little boy or girl is going to be here," I told him with a smile.
He looked up at me and smiled, "I've never been so excited and so nervous. I keep thinking I'm dreaming, but you're here with me," he says with a smile.
I chuckled, "We're not dreaming," I stated.
"Tommy Edward or Jane Anne, right? Lyr and Haz will be the god parents?" he asked me.
I nodded, "They are our best friends," I said simply.
Louis laid with his head on my stomach but I had to push him off, sprinting to the bathroom and over to the toilet. Louis held my hair and rubbed my back until the morning sickness went away. I sat up when I felt better and Lou handed me my toothbrush, equipped with toothpaste. I brushed my teeth and he carried me back to the bed.
"Shhh, love, go to sleep," he murmured softly and I quickly complied.
~~~~~~(3 days later, Lyric's POV)~~~~~~
I put on a pair of jeans and a grey sweater with black Uggs. I got Kale dressed in a blue plaid long sleeve with khaki pants and a vest that was so cute! He wanted to wear his furry hat so I put that on and put on his little white convers. I grabbed my phone and we walked out the door of our hotel room.
We looked pretty cute as we walked down the hall of the hotel, if I do say so myself. He held my hand and started running to the elevator, he loved it and his favorite part was pressing the buttons. We walked in and he pressed the bottom button that lead to the lobby and small diner. He chuckled and jumped up and down as we waited.
The lights started to flicker and I began to panic, I hated elevators. "Mummy?" Kale cried as he held onto my leg.
I grabbed him and held onto him, I had to stay strong for my son. "We'll be okay," I said. He let out a shriek as the elevator stopped and the lights turned off. I picked him up, "We'll be okay," I promised and sat down. I pulled out my phone and dialed the most familiar number.
"Hello?" his husky voice answered on the other end of the line.
"Harry. The elevator went out. We're not moving at all and it's dark. Kale's scared and, quite honestly, so am I," I said, taking deep breaths.
"I'll get them to get you out. Don't worry, babe, I'll be right there when they get you, okay?" he asked.
"Okay," I murmured, holding onto my son.
"Let me talk to Kale," he told me.
I handed the phone over to me little boy and he put it up to his ear, "Daddy?" he asked. "Me scared," he whispered and I tightened my grip on him, I would never let anything get him. "Pwomise?" he asked. "Otay. Me can do that. Me wuv you, Daddy."
He reached out and handed me my phone back. "Babe?" I asked.
"I've got to go, now. I promise everything will be okay, but I need to talk to the maintenance guys. I love you, I'll see you soon," he told me.
I sighed, "Okay. I love you, too, I'll see you soon," I said and hung up my phone.
Kale snuggled into my chest and began singing to me, "You is me swunshine, me onwy swunshine, yous makes me happy when skies is grey. You is me swunshine, me onwy swunshine, pwease don't eber go away," he sang before starting another song, "Twinke, twinke wittle stwar, how me wonders whut you is, up abwuv in da sky so high, wike a dwiamand in da sky. Twinke, twinke wittle stwar, how me wonders whut you is," he sang.
"Kale, what are you doing?" I chuckled.
"Me swingin to you, Mummy. Daddy said it help you stay cawm. Him says it me job to keep you cawm," he said. He said 'says' like Louis did in their video diaries.
I smiled and pecked somewhere on his face, I couldn't see him and that scared me. How am I supposed to keep my baby safe when I can't even see him? My fears grew as I held on tighter to my son, I've seen way too many scary movies.
"Mummy, we be otay, Daddy pwomised me," he said, reassuringly.
"I know, Kale, Mummy trusts Daddy, she just doesn't like elevators," I told him honestly.
"Me nweiver," he said, his voice fading and his snores filling the small space.
