I stepped into the cave containing the MoonStone. Shivering at the cold I waited. Then as the moon floated overhead the MoonStone began to glow as if a million stars were contain in the stone. Still dazzled I lay down and slowly pressed the tip of my nose to the stone. The cold touch was nearly unbearable. But as soon as I shut my eyes the floor lurched below until I was floating in blackness. I opened my eyes and I was lying in the grassy field of Four Trees. Pulling myself to my paws I stared, even though I'd done this a thousand times. The warriors of StarClan spiraled down until they stood in front of me. Their paws filled with stars and their eyes burned with fire. And just as I got more excited for what they would say, the warriors melted into nothingness. Only I and one other cat were standing there. And frigid breeze blew over Four Trees. The cat opened his eyes and stared blankly at me. As I stared back lost in his yellow gaze, the the image of Moonkit's intense blue eyes flickered in my sight. "Who are you." I meowed then a voice filled my ears. It sounded as if all the cats of StarClan were talking at once. "There was a Moon who became a Star. It's time for you to unravel this puzzle." I froze speechless. Then the white cat stood and walked in the opposite direction of me. As I saw his tail disappear the world around me crumbled away until I was in a freezing black void. All I could see was my breath billowing in front of me. I shivered uncontrollably. And it only got colder. And when I thought I would freeze to death a warm light filled my eyes. Then I shot my eyes open and stood up. Looking around frantically. Then I sighed with relief. I was in MotherMouth. Berrynose was starring at me. "Are you alright? Your fur was as cold as ice!" She mewed. Looking concerned. I nodded suppressing another shiver. Not from the cold but from the intense gaze of the white cat with yellow eyes. It had hypnotized me. "Come on let's head back to camp." She mewed softly. I hadn't noticed that the other medicine cats had left already. Turning on her paws Berrypelt headed out of the cave with me close behind.
