I reached MotherMouth by the time the moon was nearly over head. Not thinking about fear I plunged into the darkness and followed the wall. After walking and walking and walking, the tunnel opened up into the cave that contained the MoonStone. My fur bristled with anticipation. And just as I expected the MoonStone light up in a dazzling light of a thousand stars. Taking a deep breath I bent down in a comfortable position and pressed my nose to the cold stone. I closed my eyes and instantly I was standing in the middle of FourTrees. And StarClan were already waiting before. "Please don't disappear I need to know what is happening!" I whimpered to them. And a single cat stepped forward. A cat I did not recognize her fur was silver and her eyes were bright blue. "Hello little one." She mewed. "I'm Splashstar." My mouth dropped open. I did not expect to see the previous leader of RiverClan before my mother. She let out a mrrow of laughter. "No need to be surprised Rosefur." She meowed. Her eyes were soft sending a comforting feeling down my spine. "I suspect Berrypelt does not realize you are here." She guessed. I nodded shamefully. "I feel that you have made a good decision coming on your own." She praised. "But your not here on good terms are you." She look at me with sympathy. "Your on a roll Splashstar." I mewed nervously. "Well then I shall explain." She began. "Long ago many seasons before you Rosefur there not four clans, but six." She mewed. I froze, and stared at her. "But there are only four oaks in FourTrees, hence the name FourTrees." I argued Splashstar only raised her tail for silence. "Those tree do not represent the clans, they represent a prophecy from long ago. Anyway the six clans were RiverClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, ThunderClan, SkyClan and MoonClan." She listed the six clans with me gaping at her. "You me SkyClan from the gorge?" I asked. And Splashstar nodded. "But the peace between the six clans did not last long. The six clans split. and then began war, it was SkyClan, MoonClan and WindClan, against ShadowClan ThunderClan, and RiverClan." She mewed sadly. "SkyClan WindClan MoonClan had the numbers, but we had strength and we demolished, them. Obviously WindClan survived, but barely, and SkyClan were driven out of the forest. But MoonClan, was completely destroyed. Only the kits of the opposing clans survived but they were brought to our clans and tricked into thinking they were born in it." I sat down my legs unable to support my weight anymore. "So, my clan was responsible for... for the extinction and near- extinction of three clans?" I whimpered. I began to shake and a figure appeared next to me. It was Hawkwing, he wrapped his tail around me and groomed my head. His fur was cold and warm at the same time. Splashstar didn't seem to have the need to hide the truth any longer. "Yes." I looked at her expectantly and she began to talk once more. "But there are two thing that no cat knows. You are the last remaining link to MoonClan. And so is MoonKit."
