"All cats old enough to catch their own prey please join under HighRock for a clan meeting." Redstar's meowed bellowed through camp. Moonpaw and I were standing awkwardly at the front of the half-assembled clan. The cats were staring at us suspiciously. I wrapped my tail protectively around Moonpaw as if she were my own kit. When finally the clan was assembled, Redstar began to speak. "I have a big announcement." He started. "The cats in front of you are Rosefur and Moonpaw." He informed his clan. "They asked me to join ThunderClan." He mewed carefully. Meows of rage erupted from the group of cats. "They asked under the will of StarClan." Redstar meowed. The cats stopped yowling but still grumbled to themselves. "Rosefur will become a warrior and Moonpaw will go on in her warrior training." He meowed. "Skybreath will you help supervise her assessment along with me?" He asked. Skybreath, a she cat with white fur and small gray spots and green eyes, nodded curtly. "This meeting is disbanded." Redstar announced. Quickly the clan separated to go about their daily routines. "Rosefur," Redstar called. "Yes?" I replied. "First eat and get some rest. Second would you like to keep your RiverClan name or do you want a new one?" He meowed. "I would like to keep my name if you don't mind." I answered. He nodded distantly, as if lost in thought. I looked around until I spotted the fresh-kill pile. I licked my lips and trotted over to it with Moonpaw only paw steps behind. When I reached it I awkwardly picked a mouse and a thrush for for me and Moonpaw. The we found a shady spot and settled down to dig in. I took a bite of the mouse. It tasted amazing. It was juicy and filled me much faster than fish did. "How is your thrush?" I asked Moonpaw. I had to wait for her to finish chewing. "It tastes great!" She mewed happily. Then she went back to eating. Then I noticed another cat coming over. It was a cat I did not recognize. "Hi there!" He meowed in a perky voice. "Uh hi." I mewed awkwardly. This cat was white with gray spots, one of which surrounded one of his eyes which are green. "I'm Sneezetail." He introduced himself to me. For a reason I did not know my fur grew hot from nervousness. "I- I'm Rosefur. But you already knew that" I mewed. He eyes danced with laughter. Not at me, but with me. "That's a pretty name." He mewed. My fur only grew hotter. "Oh uh- well t-thanks Sneezetail!" I meowed. "I'll be back." He mewed suddenly. Then he bounded over to the fresh-kill pile, grabbed a squirrel and bounded back. Then he sat in front of me and began to eat, and every so often his eyes would flicker to me and back to his squirrel. My heart beat faster and faster until I thought he could hear it. Then I began to eat my mouse once again. Soon we finished and, sat up. "Thanks for sitting with me." I thanked. "Trust me it was no problem at all." He mewed. His voice wasn't friendly, but it wasn't at all mean either. But my thoughts began to melt as I starred into Sneezetails green eyes. Then I though came to mind. Becoming a ThunderClan cat won't be so hard after all
