Record Deal

Today was the day we get a record deal. Maybe. But, if that guy has any idea what talent is, we'll have a contract with our names on it by the end of the meeting.

Me and Elle we're currently waiting on the lobby, listening for our names to be called.

"Hey, jay don't sweat it, your great, I'm great.... We're gonna get this deal" she said confidently. I smiled nodding my head. I didn't want to talk and start stuttering, that's what I always do when I'm nervous, and Elle knew it.

"Jay and Elle report to room 217" a voice over the loud speaker said. I took a deep breath and held Elle's hand as we walked towards the room. I slowly opened the door expecting to see one blond-haired fat old guy looking to get new talent, but I was met with 4 teenage boys sitting in chairs across from a couch.

I couldn't help but eye them, they all looked kinda hot. For some reason the bright-blond haired boy with his hair styled up really cached my attention and I smiled brightly at him, confidence coursing through me.
         
"Hey, we're Jay and Elle" I said looking over them one more time before looking over at Elle to she how she was doing. She had broken into a blush looking at the boy with long curly blond hair. Damn I don't think I can make it through this meeting without turning into a puddle.
               "Well, hey guys, we're Five Seconds Of Summer" The boy with the red hair said (A/N: I know his hair is blond but I like it red)

"I'm Calum, that was Michael and that's Luke and the other one is ashton" the Asian-looking one said. Luke looked at me and when I met his eyes he looked down and studied his feet. Not Awkward at all.

Lukes POV

    "-that's Luke and the other one is ashton" Calum finished. I looked at the girl who said her name was Jay, but when she caught me staring I looked down to my feet quickly. I was excited to see their talent and to sign them... Hopefully.

Jays POV

           I couldn't help but notice their accents. Ugh. Why were they so hot ? You cant have a relationship with business people, and especially not your boss, so it would never work.

"So girls, are you going to preform here or are you going to show us a video ?" The boy named ashton said
   
"Oh, we're going to show you a video of one of our recent performances" Elle answered. I took that as my queue to take my laptop out of my bag I rested it in my arm as I pulled up the folder that contained our video. As Luke and the rest of his band stood up to look behind me, Luke accidentally pushed into me making the computer wobble and fall, crashing into the floor.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry." Luke said quickly. His face was bright red from embarrassment but he also had sadness in his eyes.
     
"I'll buy you a new one don't worry" he said nodding his hair assuringly.
      
"Thanks, but... How will we show you our performance now ?" Elle asked.
         
"Oh !! Our practice room is right down the hall, you can use some of our instruments if you like ?" Michael said. Me and Elle nodded and followed them out the room to preform. Beads of sweat formed on my forehead, I always got nervous before preforming, thats why I wanted to just show them us preforming.

           When we walked into the room I immediately made a b-line towards the white guitar with a section of black on it. I held it in my hands, it looked so cool.
        
"Who's guitar is this ?? It's really cool." I said looking at the four boys. Luke blushed and held up his hand.
         "It's mine" he said.
          "Well. Awesome guitar" I smiled and got into mine and Elle's places. Elle handled drums, and luckily there were a set of black drums there. I mouthed 'shadows' to Elle and she  nodded. I started out the song singing into the microphone.

Oooo in the shadows, was where I was stuuuuck in miseryyyy." I sang

"And then you came, it was insane, how you took the shadows awayyyyy" Elle continued. I saw sweat forming on her forehead.

"Oh ! Oh! Oh ! You took the shadows awayyyyy"

"Oh ! Oh! Oh ! You took the shadows awayyyyy"

"And......then you left....... And I tried to stay out of the shadows. I see pictures of you before they came looking for your money"
She sang.

"And I really can't hold onnnn. I see them, hear them, feel them......THE SHADOWSSSS"

"Oh! Oh! Oh! You took the shadows away"

"But now, now, now...... The shadows are here to stay" we finished in unison. I looked up expectantly at the four boys. I looked over to calum to see him with his mouth open. Were we really that bad ??
"Wow....um...." Ashton stammered. I saw Elle cringe and stand up from the drums slowly.

"That was great !!" Michael said. I gave a confused look. I thought they hated it. When I looked over at Elle she mirrored my face.

"Wow ! Did you guys write that song?" Luke asked.
"Yeah, I um I wrote it...." I said. I didn't want to add that the song was based on one of my relationships, everybody pitied me when I said that and I hated it.

"So, what now ?" Asked Elle.

"Let's go back to the meeting room" Calum said motioning for us to follow him. Once we sit down in the leather couch ashton spoke up.

"So, you guys were really good. I think you are doing to definitely going to be our newest record deal recipient" he said seriously. Me and Elle nodded.

"So, here's the contract, look it over and sign it when your ready" Luke said smiling. I tried not to blush but I was pretty sure I did. Me and Elle got up and went back to the waiting room to look over the contract and I couldn't help the little squeal that came out of my mouth.

"Yayyyyy! We're gonna get signed !!!" I said happily. Elle joined in to my little celebration and when we sat down she tucked her long blond hair behind her ear and read the contract out aloud.

"I think it sounds decent" I said when she finished.

"Yup, let's sign !!!" She said with a huge smile on my face. After we each signed we stood up and walked back to the room. When we opened the door I couldn't help but laugh. I tried to cover it with my hand but I couldn't.

Luke had his legs on top of michael and Calum had his head in Ashton's lap. When they noticed us hey quickly sat up and clears their throats.

"Well then..." Elle said trying to hold back her laughter. I tried to but failed terribly when we exploded into fits of laughter on the red leather couch in front of them.
"That was not what it looked like" Calum said blushing madly as did the other three of them.
I could see him trying desperately to fix his messy hair.

"Yup of course it wasn't" I said sarcastically, trying to hold back my giggles.

I handed the contract to Michael and he smiled confidently glancing at Luke as if to say 'haha she gave it to me not you'
I looked at him weirdly and he frowned a little. I shrugged it off and they smiled at us.

"Welcome to hi or hey records. I bet were gonna have a great time together" Luke said winking at me. Woah. I blushed as he fixed himself in his chair while purposely elbowing Michael. I chuckled and we said our good byes. We exchanged numbers and left the building.

We're finally here. We made it, well almost.... But that's never enough. We have to have it all. I smiled at myself thinking about our next plan in our music career but I could only see Michael and Luke fighting over me in my mind.
