This cannot be happening. No way in no flipping heaven is this true.
"What do you mean you have a room," Jellal was getting a little impatient as well, "For Lucy Heartfilia and Natsu Dragneel? A room, with a single bed, for a boy and a girl who's no older than eighteen."
The receptionist looked a little uncomfortable at the now angry Jellal as she typed away on her computer before bowing so low I think all the blood is going to make her pop a vessel, "I apologize but I don't think there's anything else I can do. And it's in our company's best interest that you do not attempt to switch rooms or the persons in the room."
Jellal was trying to be the responsible adult he was as he sucked in a breath, "There's really nothing you can do?"
"No! I apologize sir, I apologize!" she kept on repeating.
"It's alright," he sighed. "Thank you for your time."
He walked towards us a few steps away holding the card keys to the rooms.
The Mirage Resort, a resort buried at the top of a mountain in Golden, Colorado is the ideal spot to be around winter time, so around this time for us. With the snow, they have multiple hot springs for their elite guests (celebrities, sports celebrities etc. I think Taylor Swift even stayed here at some time). State of the art hot chocolate made by some of the best chefs in the world, free breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a lobby and a complete arcade room downstairs for all those teenagers (us). A bar for the older guests and that night club for 21+. I guess, Jellal's going to be stuck with us when the older members go and party. Ha ha, poor guy. Too bad we're only going to be here for only two weeks to take on all the American Co-ed soccer teams. Good thing is: we got field side tickets to the Thanksgiving Denver Broncos' home game against the Baltimore Ravens, which is er, five days from now I think. Or whenever Thanksgiving is.
But the issue right now is... I'm sharing a room with Natsu. The guy I love who refuses to talk to me about anything unless he absolutely has to.
Did I mention we're sharing a room? If not, yeah we're sharing a room!
"We're out of options, team," Jellal sighed heavily. "I'll talk to the head -"
Natsu sighed, "No need. We'll be able to deal with it. It's only two weeks, right? We'll be fine."
"Man~" the silky voice sounded, "This is quite a pleasant surprise."
"I'll say," Hibiki chuckled. "It's kinda cute. I can be an uncle soon."
I glared at him, "No way that's ever happening bastard so get your head out of the gutter!"
"But still," Jura eyed us.
Erza tapped the older man's arm, "They're quite responsible teenagers. Well, Lucy is anyway. If anything she can lock Natsu in the coat closet for the night. She is a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo, hence her legendary shots."
Jura only nodded, "Very well."
"Now then," Jellal glanced at his watch. "Why don't we head upstairs to our rooms, unpack and everything. The time right now is 6 PM so shall we meet back here at 7 for dinner and discussion of our strengths and weaknesses over cups of warm cocoa?"
We all nodded before Jellal dismissed us, "Good then let's go."

Natsu
H-holy cow...!
As a legendary soccer player, I've stayed at some pretty sweet resorts and hotels with the whole ocean view and crap like that but never, I mean never have I seen such an amazing resort room that I feel like I'm actually dreaming!
I have no class but this resort room was definitely one to admire. There was a dining table just as one enters and a giant sliding door window-like thingy leading out to a patio at the far end. We got the full view of Denver from here as well as the beautiful mountain range! A flat-screen TV sitting on the wall to the side. A couch and some love seats surrounded the fireplace then a small little mini kitchen directly to the left.
I felt Lucy softly brush past me and into the room, her luggage in both her hands as she too was in awed with the sight in front of her. She slowly walked, taking off her boots in the process around the corner probably towards the bed room.
When I heard her open the door and the soft sounds of her footsteps entered I finally breathed. From the moment, Jellal called Erza up to the desk to help him to the moment I heard him talking loudly to the receptionist that Lucy and I were going to be staying in the same room together, I held my breath. I was already in the process of being cold to her and let's just say it isn't working out too well.
She's determined, I'll give you that. She's determined to keep me in her life when she should know it isn't going to help her move forward. That way during this trip, I was planning on distancing myself as far away from her as possible so she can understand.
And now...this.
"Hey Natsu!" her beautiful voice called from the bedroom. Sighing, I dragged my luggage into the room only to find her dangling her feet off the side, her own suitcases at the base of the bed.
"What is it?" Dammit, I said that almost too fast... she's gonna pick it up, she's gonna pick up how her calm posture is making me feel different, warm almost.
What the fuck?
Lucy glanced at me, "The bed is really comfy and I know you're absolutely exhausted from all the vehicles we were in. So why don't you lay down and take a nap while I settle us in."
I shook my head, "I'll just nap on the -"
The striker suddenly appeared in front of me, inches from my own face, "No arguments, buddy. You're going to wake up with an aching back and begging for a massage that I will not give, understood? Just go ahead and nap."
"It's not going to happen, Luce," I turned my back to her but her irresistible face appeared in front of mines again.
My eyes widened a bit.
Lucy suddenly grabbed my hands, unlatched them from their grip on my suitcases. They made a loud thump that probably woke up whoever was sleeping under us but not the major priority right now.
Lucy's holding my hands!
She took a step forward, her chocolate brown eyes never leaving mines. I took a step back afraid if I didn't move, I'd do something regrettable. She took another step forward, I took another backwards until the back of my legs were completely against the foot of the bed. With one swift motion, I was on my back, hunched on my elbows. Lucy's brown eyes never changed expressions as she watched mines staring back into them.
Suddenly, she climbed onto my body almost in a straddling position.
She sure is brave today... or is her mind a little loopy from all the flying?
Whatever it is, I'm likin-
Woah Natsu! Pull yourself together you horny bastard!
"Luce," I said, almost threatening.
A flash of white and something so soft, so cool kissed my face. My eyes widened when I smelled the fresh scent of pine needle.
"Get to sleep," I heard Lucy say from above the pillow. "Stop being a horny teenage boy."
Then the weight was lifted, the door closed, and Lucy was gone. Leaving me in the dark, kissing a very good smelling pillow.
