Chapter 16

Lucy's P.O.V
School started in 2 weeks. Which meant I would be leaving Link soon. I didn't want to, I really enjoyed living with Link.....

But I have a life in Indiana, I have 2 loving moms, a gay guy best friend, and a really sucky boyfriend....

I don't really have much to go home to. I have more friends in LA than in my hometown! I wish I could stay with Link and his family.

Now that Christy and I are friends, living with Link has been amazing! Christy makes us breakfast every morning, and she actually makes enough to for me!

"Lucy! Daddy wants to see you." Lando pushed open my door and sat down next to me on my bed. He had a banana in his hand, he offered me a bite but i politely turned it down.

"Why does he need to see me?" I asked him. Lando shrugged and took a bite of his banana.

"Your mommys are here." Lando grabbed my hand and yanked me outside. I followed him inside, Mama Val hugged me. I looked at Link, who was beside Val. He didn't make a noise.

I was confused. "Uh, hey Mama Val." I looked at her, her eyes were filled with tears. Something was wrong. "Where's Mama Ali?!" I demanded.

"I'm right here."

I quickly turned around, only to see Mama Ali, but she was different. Her short brown hair was gone, all of her hair was gone. She had gotten skinner and paler.

She wasn't the same woman I had seen two months ago.

"Lucy, I'm sick." Tears streamed down her face.

I didn't know how to react. I had never seen Mama Ali like this. I wanted to cry, but I wanted to yell at someone.

I hugged her. She felt weak and boney. "You'll be fine right?" I said as I sat down on the couch.

Mama Val buried her face into Link's shoulder. Mama Ali grabbed my hands and sniffed. "It's not good, Lucy. I might die,"

I began to sob. "No, you can't. Mama Ali I need you!" I looked at Mama Val, then back at Mama Ali. "We need you."

I cried for hours. I couldn't imagine a life without Mama Ali.

Sure, she wasn't always home in time for dinner, and sure she never went to any of my ballet recitals, but she was still special to me.

I laid in bed, praying that Mama Ali would be okay. Someone knocked on my door. I sat up and turned on my light. "Come in."

David walked in. He was wearing pink shorts and a white shirt. David sat down on my bed. "Hey there, Lucy. How ya feelin'?"

I said nothing. I hugged him and sobbed. We hugged for what felt like hours. He pushed me away and smiled. "So everyone's going out to eat," David stood up, and held out his hand. "you wanna go?"

I sniffed and grabbed his hand. "Eh, why not."

Link's family, Link, David, Seth, both of my moms and I went to Pizza Hut. Mama Ali, Mama Val, Christy, Lando and Lincoln sat on one side. And Link, Seth, David, Lily, and I sat on the other. I sat next to Lily and David, while Link sat next to Seth and Lily.

Link ordered three large pizzas for all of us to share. We ate pizza and talked about YouTube and Talia. I really enjoyed eating with them. It's like we were one big happy family.

Once we were done eating, my moms, Seth and David went back to their hotel and Link took me back to his place.

"Your moms are awesome!" Lily exclaimed as we got in Link's mini van.

I smiled at her. "I know right! They're the best!"

Christy cleared her throat loudly and laughed. "You're cool too mom!" Lincoln said as he put on his seat belt.

The rest of the way home we talked about my moms and about my life in Indiana. I was really going to miss them.

Lily, Lincoln and Lando had really grown on me. At first, I hated the fact that Link had kids, but now, I love them to death!

Lando is the cutest thing ever! Lily is so sweet, she's also good with animals. And Lincoln, he can always find a way to make me smile.

I used to hate Christy, as well. She hated me too, but now we're practically best friends. We spend most of our time together. We get our nails done, we do each other's make-up. I know, we're #goals.

As soon as we arrived at Link's house, I went to my room to lay down. It was only 5:00 pm, but I felt exhausted. I changed into some sweat pants and cuddled with Talia.

An hour or so had past when I heard a knock on my window. I jumped up, only to see Seth standing outside. It was raining, hard. I quickly ran to my door and let him in.

The garage wasn't connected to the house, so I practically had my own building.

"Hey," Seth said as he took off his jacket. He was soaked. He looked at me and smiled. "It's raining." He chuckled.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" He sat down on my bed, Talia curled up next to him.

"Why are you here?"

"Can a boy not visit his girlfriend?"

I laughed and sat down in my office chair. Seth and I had a full on conversation. We went from jokes to deep thoughts then back to jokes. He stayed for almost 2 hours when Link had walked in my room.

Link seemed surprised as he opened the door. "Well hello. Seth it's time to leave, and Lucy, Lando wants you to read him a bedtime story." Link left the door open.

I hugged Seth goodbye then made my way to Lando's room. He was already in bed. "Hey Lando!"

"Lucy!!" He smiled. I laid down next to him and read him a story about a pig and a chicken. The story was stupid, but Lando seemed to love it.

Lando was asleep by the time I finished the book. I slowly made my way out of his room and into the living room. Christy and Link were sitting in the couch.

Christy told me to sit down next to her, so I did. "What do yo want to watch in Netflix?" She asked.

"Hmm." I looked at the tv screen. "Pooh can we watch Mean Girls?!"

Christy laughed and started the movie.
