Chapter 18

Lucy's P.O.V
I stepped out of Link's car and walked into Chris's house. Chris had been holding Singatron rehearsals there since the school was being cleaned.

Chris's house was small. Even though there was only 6 of us, we all felt crowded. Luckily none of us were claustrophobic.

We all stood in a line. I stood beside Belle and October. I grew really close to them. They're like my David and Molly, but like not them. That doesn't make sense, dang it!

"Okay my lil' super stars!" Chris paced back and forth. He stopped pacing and held up his clipboard. Chris was wearing green pajama pants and a cat shirt. He was obviously in his sleep attire. "How many of you guys know who the singer slash youtuber, Troye Sivan is?"

Everyone raised their hand. Even me. I had heard of him before but I'd never listen to his music, or watched any of his videos.

Chris chuckled to himself. "Great! Now who knows who Halsey is?"

Only 3 people raised their hands. I had honestly never heard of the musician before. October and Belle looked excited.

I elbowed October. "Who is this Halsey?" I whispered. He dropped his mouth and looked at Chris. He stepped out of the line and gently pushed Chris to the side.

"So, who is Halsey?" October said. He looked around the room, waiting for an answer.

Belle immediately raised her hand and cleared her throat. October pointed to her. Belle stood in front of October and began to speak.

"Halsey is queen." Belle squeaked. "She's my everything. I love her! And SO SHOULD YOU!" Belle's sweet voice turned evil for like 5 seconds. She then smiled and giggled like a school girl.

October nodded. He looked at Belle and pushed her back into line. He then walked up to me. His green eyes met mine. He looked angry, his eyebrows were slanted and his smile was upside down.

"So that's who Halsey is." October said in a playful voice. His face transformed into his usual, happy face. He then playfully punched my shoulder and wiggled back into the line.

Chris walked back up in front of us. "Okay, so I have assigned the parts for our final show. And look guys, this has to be good!" Chris began to paced back and forth as he was talking. "Tons of singers and bands will be there, and if they like you, then they'll get their managers to like you then," He paused. "BOOM! You're going on tour with them as their opening band."

Everyone was silent. I wondered who would be there, celebrity wise. I imagined my favorite female actor, Lea Michele, walking up to me and complimenting my singing. And then, she'd asK ME TO GO ON TOUR WITH HER AND WE'D BECOME BFFS! Although, that would probably never happen. But hey, a girl can dream.

Too far? Nah....

Chris looked at me then at a girl whose name was Ellane. She was mean and hated me. She had been the previous female lead and I kinda took that from her. Chris hadn't really assigned Ellane big parts. But he never assigned me any either.

"Okay, Lucy." Chris walked towards me. "Your a cute lil' goose aren't yah?" He poked my nose and laughed. "You're getting the female lead for both songs. Which is Hold Me Down by Halsey and BITE by Troye Sivan. AND!" He yelled. "You'll be singing BITE as a duet with the male lead!"

I couldn't help but smile. This was the first time Chris had ever assigned me a solo! He had always assigned Cate or October an solo, but never me. I had ways been assigned small parts, which meant I was only singing for a few seconds then back to dancing.

I was so excited to finally be able to have the stage to myself. Well I wouldn't have it all to myself, Chris would come up with something for the others to do.

"And the male lead is," Chris paused dramatically. "MR. ISSAC LUTIN!"

Issac was the other boy, I'd never really spoken to him before, but apparently him and Ellane were a thing. But they weren't dating, they just have random make out sessions and all that jazz.

Issac smiled. He was kinda cute. He had dark blonde hair and bright brown eyes. He was skinny and had no muscles what so ever.

After Chris finished assigning parts, it was time to leave. I was about to walk out the door when Isaac stopped me.

"Uh, Lucy right?" He said as I put on my jacket. He messed with his hair, it looked messy and hot at the same time. Why can't my hair do that?

I smiled. "Yeah, are you Isaac?" I already knew his name, I just didn't want to seem like a weird person who just knows someone's name before introducing myself properly.

Issac nodded and shook my hand. "So for the duet we have to act like we love each other, because the song is kinda a love song, a-"

I stopped him. "Woah, I uh, have a boyfriend. Sorry." I turned away and he grabbed my shoulder. I turned back around and sighed. I did think he was cute and all, I just didn't want to make Ellane hate me even more.

"No, I'm kinda in a relationship too. It's not a good one but its something." Issac chuckled. He had teeth whiter than snow. I was so jealous! My teeth could never be that white! I pretended to laugh even though nothing about that statement was funny.

"I was just thinking." We began to walk out the door together, he held the door open for me. "We should be friends, so we'll be more comfortable together on stage." Issac said. He smiled at me.

"WHY IS HE SO FRICKEN PRETTY? I HATE IT!! Ugh!!!" I thought to myself. He was a gorgeous man. I kept thinking of Seth to make me stop thinking about how cute THIS DUMB BOY WAS.

Issac snapped his fingers in front of my face. "Uh, hello? Earth to Lucy?" Issac waved his hand.

I quickly jumped back to reality. "Oh, um yeah. I'd love to be friends." I smiled at him. Link honked the car horn. I looked at Link then back at Issac. "That's my ride. Gotta go. Bye."

"Here's my number!" He handed me a piece of paper right before I turned around. "Text me tomorrow and maybe we can do something fun."

I began to walk to Link's car, but I looked back at Isaac and waved. "Yeah, sounds like fun." I shouted. I got into Link's car and watched Issac as we drove off.

Ellane walked up to him and began kissing him. I immediately grew disgusted  at the sight and looked at Link. "Hey so I got the female lead for the upcoming show!"

Link seemed surprised. "Oh, that's amazing! I can't wait to watch it!" Link couldn't stop smiling and neither could I.
